I love your channel. I’m currently in the market for a jazz bass. I have mainly been a p bass player for 40 years. This day and age you can get good stuff at an affordable price. I’m going to roll the dice on this jazz bass
Bro first love all your bass video's So based on your review I purchased two CMZ basses both 5 string. I got the 70 style jazz. I wasn't impressed. However there 5 string J-Bass with the imitation rosewood fretboard OMG man this is one of the best basses I've ever played. I have some high ended basses but I have not put this J-Bass down in 3 weeks. It's has become my number 1 go to bass. Thanks so much.
Great video. Enjoyed it a lot. I purchased a cnz jazz bass four string and I went with them because of value and the fact that they are lefty friendly. They actually have a good selection for us southpaws then some other companies out there. The bass is stunning plays great and looks much more expensive than the actual cost of it.
That’s awesome! Congrats. I spoke with CNZ recently and lefty is a high priority for them. They want to offer colors and options to the left-handed players. Pretty cool.
Blessings Rumbling Man, even the CNZ Audio JB "mini" electric bass guitar version but smaller (28.6") is amazing too!! The folks at CNZ Audio (a family run business) public relations are amazing!!! Be well my bro'r & friend!
You sounded very inspired when playing this one. Good job. I actually almost got a micro-scale version of this bass (for a piccolo bass), but other things came up.
I know this is a bit of an older video but thought I'd comment here anyway. I stumbled on your TH-cam channel while researching a Lakland, (one of those I used to own one and miss it things lol) Regarding the bass in this video, any jazzy makes me happy no matter what the headstock says lol :-) also sounds really good! Anyway new subscriber here 🖐 cheers!
Wow that’s impressive for $200. The neck looks pretty close to a pbass. I prefer that so that’s a plus. Companies like Artist and CNZ are changing the playing field! I bought an Artist Grungemaster(Jazzmaster w/p90s) and it’s amazing for the $200 price point. Thanks for the content. I’ll probably get one of these JBs
Unrealistic practical question. Just taking chances. Mainly i play/record fretless (short-scale) bass. But sometimes a fretted needed. I have a modified J bass with PJ pickups. I find it difficult to play lately: on lower frets and due to string tension (personal reasons). Want to sell a fretted long scale one and get a J (mainly because of nut/neck width) or PJ one. Maybe it is just "in my head", please correct me if..., still... Looking at: JB-MINI-CRL (juicy sound, 28.6L, 1.65" nut, basswood body /as most Chinese instruments/only 6lb), JB-MINI-NL; PB-SB (P is great, too); Squier Sonic Bronco bass (30L, 1.5" nut, poplar body, maple neck/fretboard, a bit harsh in tone, but beautiful ;) ); Squier Mini Precision Bass (28.6L). How would you compare them in sound, quality and reliability? Thank you in advance. P.Ss. Really like the sound of the regular J bass you reviewed, but i need the short scale bass. Also, once i've ordered a Fiesta Red Strat - it came burgundy (as the, Thomann said, it is their fiesta red), with a very harsh sounding pickups, paid shipping, lost money for nothing). Your bass looks great (to me).
Man that tone in your rock mix example is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I can’t quite achieve it with my Getty Lee fender jazz. Closest thing I’ve heard to an old Mexican jazz I lost 20 years ago and have missed ever since. If you don’t mind me asking, is that a setting on your helix? That sounds amazing.
Dude I’m promise you I’m GASing for a CNZ bass since a while back! What’s the nut width on this bass bro? Is it more like a 1 5/8 inch measurement pretty much like a standard p bass at the nut like the website claims, or did they get the information a little inaccurate? lol
@@RumblinMan Wow, thanks man. I really appreciate that! The reason I’m asking is because an issue I’ve ran into with cool looking budget basses, is that sometimes the nut width that they will claim on the website will not actually be accurate when you receive the bass in the mail! lol Thanks again!!!

Awesome review! Quick question, do the pickups on cnz basses cancel hum when used together? I know most jazz bass pickups do but I was just curious
Yes, just like most Jazz basses, running the two together is hum-canceling.
@@RumblinMan Ok great thank you for the info!
Nice Bass! Thank you Ramblin man!
Thank you Chris!!
It's hard to go wrong at $209
Good demo, once again, Rumblin Man!
God bless you and your family Guy! Always great to hear from you.
The same to you Brother!

It is a Helix LT setting. Do you use Helix? If so, I can hook you up with my patches.
@@RumblinMan I do not unfortunately
Hey you ever heard of groove Tm basses from ebay
I’m looking a cheap bass to play during worship
I haven’t! How much are you looking to spend?

@@RumblinMan im thinking about getting the tmb105 ibanez
@@terranceburgess9170 I like the TMB’s.
Hey Rumblin Man, Great Review as always! Have you tried any Sandberg basses?
Thank you so much Bob! I have never tried a Sandberg, but they look absolutely amazing. Hope you’re doing well!
Any idea on the specs of the pickups?
Nice looking, great tone.
You have a great channel.
Thanks so much!!!
im thinking about getting the 5 string...are these full scale
They are full scale!
Are CNZ Audio and J&D guitars made by the same people?
Yes and know. I believe there was a change in ownership.

1.65" (42mm) Nut Width! Definitely didn’t feel like a P Bass to me at all.

@@fredgonzalez6619 anytime bro!
