I didn't know they still produced this film. I worked at Kodak back in the early 2000s. At that time we coated it on an old coating machine that did nothing else but aero film. It was always coated it fresh, and finished right away to get it to our customers.
That would have to be one of the best series of film photos I have seen on TH-cam. Fabulous compositions and colour that matched those compositions perfectly. Well done.
The colors are very retro, I like to try this film one day. The subject is very good chosen as well. Beautiful building btw, a reminder of the days when taking a plane was glamorous.
Love the location and great video! I shot a roll of this in my Pentax zoom90-WR point and shoot from the late 90's. (My K1000 was very jealous). It looked great in any lighting situation and color saturation was still great when using a flash. I will definitely give it a try in my manual cameras next. 😀
Where is that amazing old terminal, and is it always open to the public? I love the way this film honors the red and orange tones. I miss that. And your composition is really impeccable. Can this architectural aesthetic make a comeback, please?!
Thank you so much, Kat! TWA is located across from JetBlue's terminal at JFK airport. It's a bit inconvenient to get there/hang around if you're not flying out or staying there but it's definitely doable!
@@brooklynfilmcamera oh wow, it is so worth the trouble. If we are ever in NY again, it's on the definite list. Your work is really amazing. Just ordered 3 rolls for my husband, he's a photographer and his favorite era is 50s Street photography. Those dreamt reds and oranges. He'll love this!

Therefore, different film-speed parameters are used to relate aerial-scene characteristics to practical exposure recommendations"
Interesting film and a great video. Nice use of the horizon 202, not a film camera you see too often on youtube, I love mine. I hope you can keep this type of video coming.
Appreciate you Dave, big lover of the Horizon, such an underrated and interesting camera. Definitely hope to produce more videos like this on the channel.
I actually bought these in Minsk, Belarus a couple of times last year, the local shop was already selling them packaged for small format cameras and it was quite popular there as it was pretty cheap and provided impressive colors
Your production values are through the roof here and oh my! You know what they say - “It’s Location, Location Location!” Hats off for providing another specialized Kodak film to our everyman camera bags. But I gotta say - your video color grading may just be more impressive than this very slick film stock. I had to keep reminding myself - that’s not the film, that’s the video! Well Done!

There are a lot of videos on YT about negative movies, but this one really has a class of its own. Amazing place, interesting information, nice photos and nice montage. This Kodak looks very interesting, nice to the eye 👍
The use of tabular grain means the image will be less grainy, not so much that the grain will be finer, which is an attribute of film speed. Interesting nevertheless.
I'm seeing way too much haze, which makes me wonder how the chambers are designed in those cameras. In my Argus C3, it was a box. If light hit the walls of that box, the reflections would haze the film. Solutions were to either use a hood or place a square aperture on the inside of the lens, which worked very well except for causing the edges of the film to vignette. A better approach would be to have a chamber that's pyramid shaped with the narrowest part at the lens end, and the widest part on the film end. I'm a die-hard affectionado of vintage things, and appreciate technologies from film to tubes to 78 rpm records, but from what I see here, I saw no advantages to the film vs what I saw of any digital photography shown. The digital photography was clear, not hazy, with good contrast, good color, and no unnatural hue. Dynamic range is always a concern, but from what I saw here, bright film images had lots of haze, though that may have been a fault of the cameras. I do believe that light can also scatter within a film emulsion, causing haze. I don't know if digital receptors are as susceptible to this problem.
