This premiere gave me everything I wanted! Starbucks Return, the fresh dynamic of the four, a legit cult? So many great scenes!

The guy who beats Gaius up in the bathroom is actor Ryan Robbin’s who also played the Armistice Officer in the very first scene of the miniseries when Six first walks in to the space station.
“Battlestar Galactica is my breakfast” lol
Season 4 is the best, most wild ride. I'm so looking forward to living vicariously in a first time watch through!
I am unbelievably excited for this season.
Season 4 takes everything we've seen so far to an absolute high! Every emotion, every conflict, every philosophical and psychological question raised becomes more dramatic, heavier and more powerful...
I am so happy to continue watching with you and at the same time sad that we are taking big steps towards the dramatic ending...
Totally agree, what a fantastic episode premiere to season 4!
This is going to be such an incredibly emotional journey for you and I'm here to watch it along with you!
Season 4 is quite a ride. Looking forward to your reactions!
Season 4 is definitely hard not to binge because the episodes frequently lead into one another. Lots of 2-3 parters that aren’t really labeled as such, like this one.
Such a great season opener! Can’t wait to see what you think about season 4. Crazy stuff to come 🤪
Pyxis, the ship that was lost, was captained by one of the judges on the Baltar trial (Captain Tarney)
In so far as the reason for the attack, it was GAME OVER (due to the power outage)- but when the raider "caught a scent" of the Final Five and "sniffed" Anders, that was the "oh shit, dude, you're not gonna believe what I just found" moment they pulled out.
"I was like, where is Head Six..." In his head, duh =p
Hi! Side note to the ep. -- NO SPOILERS--
I would just like to suggest watching "The Plan" either between eps 15 and 16 or at the very least before 19 and 20 so the series ends with 20. Not before Ep 15 under any circumstances to avoid spoilers. After 15, it's all good on that front.
Those of us who saw it live, had... I don't know how long between the end of the series A year? 2? And The Plan, was nice coming back to this universe but watching once it's all out means that a day or a week after the finale, you watch the Plan and end up whelmed at best.
Watching The Plan as the final BSG thing is ending the series with a whimper and I seriously think it could affect how people feel about it long term. The Plan is not great on it's own, but mixed within the final 5 episodes does add to the finale and lets the series end with its real conclusion episodes.
I just hope this is at least seriously considered. It'll make a better experience overall for you. Promise.
Cheers!
It has, in fact, always been my plan to watch the plan after el 15. 👏
@@CasualNerdReactionsFantastic! :D
Furthermore, I’ve been tweaking my schedule and planning so I should be able to release tv episodes a little more often in the future. Should get to the finale of BSG a month sooner as a result :)
@@CasualNerdReactions Oh man, enjoy it! You only watch it for the first time once in your life. I know it's obvious, but it's true. I wish I could be speculating about the show right now. Gotta say though, rewatching the entire series is also quite rewarding.
Just enjoy it as much as you can!
Lots of great moments in this episode. Space shit, drama, heartfelt dialogue, even comedy. I do remember being Very frustrated about that ending though. Not because it was bad, but because I knew I had to wait a week for another episode.
Sounds like they succeeded 😅 Honestly though, after waiting a year why would they do that to you?! I'm over here glad I only have to wait five days this time lol.
Remember watching Season 4, the most famous Gaius was not Baltar- that was the given name of Nero.
All I can say about season four without spoiling anything is… buckle up. This season gets intense.
So much happens in season 4. It’s also very arc designed. So you will probably have a hard time not binging
New subscriber here. Enjoy rewatching old movies with you!…🥰✨…Could you please consider reacting to the movie True Romance, with Patricia Arquette? The script is from Quentin Tarantino.
Hey! Thanks for being here. After I finish Tarantino’s directed films I plan to loop back around to his written films and partially directed films. It will be somewhat dependent on polls, but I’m sure true romance will win once it’s added to the poll.
Are you going to find a way to watch the *Battlestar Galactica: The Face of the Enemy (2008 - 2009)* web series, which aired between Season 4 Episodes 10 and 11 (and takes place between Episodes 11 and 12)? Either on youtube or as a Patreon exclusive?
The gap between episodes 10 and 11 is the midseason gap, which was actually longer than intended because of strikes. Almost a half year gap. Episode 10 aired on June 13, 2008 and episode 11 aired on January 16, 2009. The latter half of Season 4 is sometimes referred to as the Final Season instead.
Unfortunately The Face of the Enemy isn't included on most dvd and blu-ray releases, but it does help deepen the story, like The Resistance webisodes did. It'd be a shame if you had to skip over it entirely.
I’ll definitely be including the face of the enemy :)
