Hey Speci, thanks for the Walkthrough - the Steelsong list with the flutes is mine. I think I'd go for 2 Prince Naveens in the future, but the number of uninks is a real problem, that's why i dont see three or more. Flutes helped a lot against ruby amethyst, but these are also contenders to get swapped in my opinion. I expected a lot of aggro at the start of the format that's why i took a more traditional approach instead of playing the aggro variant that was successful lately. I do think though that 2 Rapunzels are my personal limit, because I find her rather unimpressive whenever there is no healing target. - just to give a glimpse in my thought process. I'm pretty sure this is not the end all be all version in the set 5 meta, but worked pretty well for me until the quarter finals >.< I had no little cindy and had to go for shift robin, while my opponent was able to clear the board with shift queen grab your sword. Shoutout to Max from the battlebear regulars for being as experimental as always and showing up with this wonderful emerald saphire list, which was also a pleasure to play against. And thanks a lot for your content :-)
I would love to see a video on the best cards from each set since the release of set 5! Just as a way to know what back stock packs to hunt in. Maybe also to point out that it's a good time to buy singles from prior sets while the attention is elsewhere.
Been trying to solve the Emerald Sapphire Puzzle as well. DoA Ursula singing OJA with mama Odie on board is nuts. Especially on curve, reminds me of your PJ play with E/S last set
Ahh i have the same Running and also with muse for possible double bounce against aggros. But aggro in steelsong is still too strong. Kills Ursula or odie before really getting able to ramp. Tech cards are needed , so i added 5 one Drops in it for exactly daisies. Other wie they run you down in steelsong.
I physically recoiled when he said “there’s not really a lot of songs in here, I don’t get it” because buddy had 17 songs if I counted correctly, and that’s almost as many as a Steel Song deck would run. But I think the formatting of the deck lists and also the speed he was going through them all, could just be an oversight. Naveen seems cracked here tbh
I've been toying with how can you counteract the use of the 'Friend Like Me' song, which accelerates ink for BOTH players... I was thinking more songs 'Let it Go' and 'Down the Rabbit Hole' for removal when they use that ink....thoughts?!
Regarding the prince john mirror. I had it in that list cause i hoped to have sth against possible high draw engines in ruby amethyst or amethyst steel. Esp. Cause of "your welcome" killing high prio target, granting enemy 2 cards. Then bouncing with muse a rabbit (further 2 cards) So its possible to give in one turn many cards to the enemy. I had 2 johns out and enemy draw with turn draw from 3 cards + 4 +1 turn draw to 8. But he managed to reduce to 4 cards and i only got 2 card draws out fron it So it was really underwhelming but i wanted to test it. And i had the mirror as some kind of anti AWNW. But both steel song Enemies that day killed mirror with benja. Which all run again due to ametjyst chromicom. So the mirror is already out again 😂 But sir hiss got cut down further for a daisy answer 😅 i also love sir hiss , but only space for one copy as long as daisy controls meta
I found Naveen to be a bit underwhelming in steelsong. There’s already plenty of singers and the free song often goads you into suboptimal song plays just to get his effect off. The extra uninkables were also causing me to brick far more than I expected.
Do we see a world where flavershim is not in steel sapphire? I know it’s unmatched in terms of efficiency. I’d like to see us move away from item based draw, and find some unorthodox deck builds. Maybe I’ll just kill my ego and join the rest of the world and use him but I just find his draw soooo boring lol!
Once I saw 🟢🔵 I instantly got stoked one change I made was playing the new hypnotic card that draws 3 and top decks 2 instead of strike. I know it’s not a song but from testing I saw it was hard to really get that early card draw except from seeing specific things. That and I added one ink caster bc if you’re gonna play 19 why not it’s also a card draw

I think Naveen is there also for the singer 6 and getting to under the sea range faster, with the added bonuse of his main ability.

You forgot about ruby sepphire mine for example is able to have 8 ink at start of turn 5 and then whipe the Board with sisu or be prepared

Unfortunately I hit only tournament placement 9, so there was no aggro deck at Top 8 :)
