    This looks really promising! Walton Goggins is the actor at the beginning. He's great in everything he does and now will be watching for sure. Looking forward to reactions from you.

    I'm SO excited! I don't care about lore accuracy, since the games don't always maintain the same lore either. I also don't care why they're making certain choices or what their ulterior motives could be. I just love Sci-fi and I love Fallout games...so this is definitely worth checking out. Woohoo!

    Ghouls are former humans who got blasted with enough radiation to kill most people and miraculously survived. The trailer definitely looks good. Only time will tell if the show ends up being good.

    This looks good so far. Always been a fan of Jonathan Nolan's previous works and Walton Goggins is good wherever he appears in, so cautiously optimistic. They seem to have adopted a lot of elements from Fallout 4; power armor design, the "assault rifle"(a mishmash of machineguns more like), the BOS zeppelin, the vault design, and even channeling a bit of John Hancock with the chem-head ghoul... Just a little disappointed the cars in the junkyard at 1:29 aren't the iconic Corvegas or perhaps a Chrysalis Highwayman from the games.
    Going by the pitched battle at 2:49, looks like the Brotherhood and the NCR are still in full blown conflict. The NCR capital, Shady Sands appears to have been nuked, presumably by the BOS... Maybe Ceasar's Legion will eventually make an appearance? That would be interesting.
    Looking forward to the reaction videos 🙂

      This is set 15 years after New Vegas. I have no idea what canon ending Todd and Nolan have chosen for the TV series, but I presume that given the NCR is still alive, Caesar's Legion must've been defeated (which is the case for every single NV ending bar the Legion's own, so probably not too surprising).

    • @RetabaofAllure

      @@marts325 probably got a point now I thinking about it. I forgot about the Courier because I never played New Vegas. Can't see the sole survivor traveling to the Los Angeles wasteland, he/she would have stayed in the Commonwealth after the events from Fallout 4. But I can see the lone wanderer most likely traveling to Los Angeles after the events from Fallout 3. So it would be cool if she would have met either the Courier or the lone wanderer.

      @@adrianharrell87 Aw man, you should definitely check out New Vegas. Yeah, out of all the protagonists, the Sole Survivor would be the least likely to be ranging far from home given his/her commitment to the Minutemen and to rebuilding the Commonwealth.

    • @adrianharrell87
      @adrianharrell87 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marts325 maybe I will. But yeah, can't see the sole survivor in Los Angeles. He/she would have to stay in the Commonwealth running the Minutemen and helping to rebuild. After everything the lone wanderer been through, finding out he/she wasn't technically born in the vault, losing his/her father and knowing he/she can't never return to the only home he/she ever known, the wanderer is a man/woman with nothing to lose and live for and decided to travel west to Los Angeles. So yeah, I can imagine the wanderer making an appearance on the series.

    I have some fears about the lore!
    Shady Sands (if it is THAT Shady Sands) is just a crater in the ground and that would raise some pretty huge questions about what happened to the NCR, considering the series is set nine years after Fallout 4 and 14 years after the events of New Vegas.
    Will we get a canon ending for New Vegas then? Why is there suddenly a Vault in the Boneyard that nobody knew about before? Why does the Brotherhood suddenly have airships again that look like the Prydwen, even though the Prydwen is a one-off from the remains of Adams Airforce Base? How did the Brotherhood recover on the West Coast from practically existing only in holes in the ground when they now seem to be a regional power? Why does the West Coast Brotherhood suddenly have T60s and a bunch of Vertibirds?
    So many questions and if I'm honest I don't know what I'm more afraid of. That these questions will all be answered, or that they won't be answered in the series.

      We do see a glimpse of the NCR in the trailer. They looked more like bandits and scavengers instead of a regional power at this point which as you say raises a hell of a lot of questions.
      Maybe their expedition at New Vegas went bad at the hands of either the Legion, Mr House or an independant Courier and lost their prestige. Remember by FO: NV their NCR currency had already been massively devalued through the loss of their gold reserve and Hoover Dam was pretty much their hail mary to control the last sustainable water source and hydro power in the region.

      Lots of possibilities. That could be the second major airship for the BOS. If so, they probably began construction as soon as the Prydwen left for Boston. Of course, the most likely direction will be a blatant attempt to increase the player base of 76. They can do that while still maintaining the late-stage capitalism satire. And we know how little 76 respected any lore.

    • @killgoretrout9000
      @killgoretrout9000 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Except for your first question which is a simple yes or no I can come up with a myriad reasonable lore friendly explanations for the others. Take a deep breath and wait for the show, from the trailers it looks like they got the look and tone of Fallout right which is a good sign and we'll find out if the show is good in a bit over a month.

    • @Chunthoor
      @Chunthoor 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @jamesjones7526 @killgoretrout9000
      It can't be a "sister ship" to the Prydwen from Adams, because the Brotherhood used the reactor from Rivet City to get the thing to fly.
      So unless they happened to find a second aircraft carrier from which they could remove the reactor, this theory doesn't necessarily fit.
      The Brotherhood used to have airships (if Tactics lore is accurate), but they flew east towards Chicago, if I remember correctly.
      Sure, in the end they'll be able to come up with a bunch of reasons why everything is the way it is now, but I just have a stomachache when I hear things like the series is Fallout 5. Even if it looks very good at first, they can make a lot of crap with it and no Fallout fan wants that.
      Well, we'll know more in a month and I'll know whether I'm happy or throwing one tantrum after another. 😅

    • @killgoretrout9000

      @@Chunthoor There are large swaths of the US were we have little to no idea what is going on, hell Far Harbor has a submarine with a nuclear reactor. The East Coast brotherhood could've got it touch with a different BoS group in say Seattle that has access to a reactor from a carrier or sub or simply come across another ship with an intact reactor doesn't even have to be military could just be a very large transport ship. As for the TV show being like FO5, that's simply a reference to it being a stand alone story like all the games are, nothing the player does in 3 has any effect on NV or 4 nor do either of those have any effect on each other or on 3.
