It was good to meet you there. You didn't use your new catch phrase in your video... you cant knock the Fok... those moving beds were massive wasn't they. Very impressive. Did you buy a Kohaku?
Hiya, was great ro meet you a well. I have a feeling that catch phrase won't be the last time you hear it..😉 shhh I don't mention new fish when the wife is around..😆😉👍
You mentioned in a past video you may consider an Evolution Aqua Eazy Pod why ? when what you have seems to be better or should that be a lot simpler to use and clean. I was also looing at those as discountleisureproducts have some good discounts on them at the moment. However I’m going to have a go at building a filter box like you have now it seems a simple thing to do mine would be 3 sections each 17” by 11” and 24” deep 1.5” inlet and 2” outlet to pond a drain 1.5” underneath bay 1 and bay 3. A long time ago 1989 I had one made of brick on the outside of my old then brick pond a 2” pipe through the pond floor came up into the first bay this filled to the top then over into bay 2 this emptied into bay 1 at the bottom water flowing to the top and back into the pond. This worked ok till one day the cover over the bottom drain came off and a fish got into the pipe and got stuck having no way to get it out as the pressure of the water was keeping it stuck in so it was a question of empty the pond then force water the other way and gently push the fish with a drain rod and brush old style that’s one reason I have never like bottom drain pond and have always had pump fed.
th-cam.com/video/ntREETgYJ54/w-d-xo.html Possibly a simple way to heat the pond for free will it work I don’t know but for the cost of a few bits of wood I will find out over the winter. I already have 2 bins full of compost with an average heat of 95f which is too high as the bacteria will start to die so it’s a question of adding water to cool it down a little. So, I am hoping that this will maintain its heat through the winter as I empty the bins into the new area next to the pond where I hope the heat will penetrate the brits and keep the pond water warm.

Hiya, your filter build will be good to watch.. Go for it. 😉👍
Hope you don’t get in trouble again for filming 😂😂
Not this time. Very clear signs where you could and could not go with the owner letting us film as near to the fish as we wanted. 😉👍
