OMG, I haven't laughed this hard in quite a while. Your trust fall story with the dolls made me laugh way too hard for way too long. Thank you for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have that same book! The cats ARE really dyed to achieve the look! They use animal safe dyes, and some of them are very imaginative. It all started with a blind man and his blind cat… very interesting.
Top shelf where the Pilsner lunch box was located….was a ball mason jar …blue or green with the lead top. Hard to find those leaded tops now. Love the pair of bluebirds.
Nothing beats the photo of the young girl on the sling-shot box! Here’s something I used to say to my son when he was young: Let’s paint the cat! We never did, but it was a running joke between us. Thanks for reminding me of those wonderful, innocent days.
As usual, I loved shopping with you. Liked the gin bottle, chicken & pink dogs but especially loved the cat book. I'm going to have to find one of those books.
Not a fan of the black shelving units. Anything with a narrow base (wine glasses, small/delicate figurines, etc.) can tip over easily and break. I've already seen it it other Goodwills in my area. They need to put a solid surface on top of the wires.
Not your fault that you didn’t pick up the lid on your first trip to Goodwill. They need to put lids together with their bottoms and stop pricing them individually. However, that being said, you did find some nice items on your 2nd trip!🤗
I bought a salt cellar like the ones you bought because I thought it was an egg cup as well. It worked out though, since my hens lay slightly small eggs!😂
Why Paint Cats is a humorous book written by New Zealand author Burton Silver and illustrator Heather Busch. It is one of three cat art books, including Why Cats Paint and Dancing with Cats. The book purports to describe the practice of "cat painting", the decorating of cats with paint. Some readers were concerned at the dangers of applying paint to cats, but the book's depictions are digitally manipulated.[1
It can serve a purpose. This started with a blind man who had a white cat that was also blind. To protect the cat they dyed (using animal safe dyes) dark glasses on the cat… made people more aware that they needed to not expect him to see them and move out of the way. Thus the cat was protected by being ‘colored’!
My favorite videos are when you thrift solo or with your hubby. You are more focused when alone and are a better communicator. Sorry to have to type this, felt you should know. That is why I unsubscribed. Pyrex caught my eye, that's why I tuned in today.

I love your “don’t trust that doll story”. The evidence was all right there. So glad you got the lid for the Pyrex!
Love the dog family.
Good finds! Susie looks adorable. 💚🐶💛
Keep those blue birds for yourself 😍
So glad you got the lid🥰
Love your story about the dolls and the trust fall!
The Christmas trash can would look cute as a holder for a smaller Christmas tree.

I don't like the wire racks either. For some reason, it's harder for me to see things.
Some have the plastic liners but most don’t.

Lion head in the "cat sale"??? LOL

It is currently up for auction on eBay
They don't actually paint cats. The book is a joke. They talk about it at the end. 😊Oregon Kay

Jenny has the prettiest hands! Is that weird to say? She does though.
Those cats in the book are digitly manipulated with Photoshop... The cats were not physically painted.
Digitally *

I don't think they had Photoshop in 1994 😂
Painting cats is repulsive i n my opinion! Poor things!!!
The cats were not actually painted. That was done by a computer.
