Exactly what I was looking to build! This is perfect! One thing I would change. Cut arms at 15 degree angle and use a router to round out the front of the arms. But love this!

Good Job! I need a storage rack for 4 kayaks as well. I like your design and build shortcuts. I would like to make it free standing, though. I need to keep it outside. I might use your design and hook the 4x4's together in the back using 2x4's. I'll also probably hook some ilet bolts up top somewhere to hang a tarp to protect from weather and UV rays. Thanks for taking the time!

The utility mats are such a great idea! Recently bought some kayaks and definitely need to build some storage racks for them. This is great!

Yep and they work really well. Keeps your kayaks from getting scratched up

@@MWAWoodworks I can't seem to find that exact "Traffic Master Utility Matt" that looks perfect. I checked Home depot and they have that brand, but only in regular floor matts. Not the stuff you bought in a roll. If I may ask, where did you get it and approximately how much should I expect to pay. Cost in not that important, just want to make sure I get the same thing. Thx!

We have 8v right now and i have been trying to figure out hours they should be stored to save space. Was thinking of a rack design, after seeing this, it is confirmed. Now to see if I have enough lounge to build these with, as lumber process are through the roof right now! Thanx for the video! Great work!

Fantastic work, Matt! Nicely done! 😃
I tried a kayak when I was young, but it didn't worked out for me. 😬
Today my hobby is FPV... With quadcopters, but also rc airplanes, rc cars and so on. But the issue is basically the same: making something to store everything! 😂
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Great design...... have you ever made a design for an exterior pvc pipe rack?

… cleaned up the area where two kayaks and a paddle board lived. Wanted to attach a picture with this thanks but couldn’t find that option.

Think those support arms would work with my shed studs instead of 4x4s ?

Do you think this would support a 76 pound kayak?

Yeah I sat on one of the arms. It's fine

Wow, outstanding job and easy. For my build at "Karin and Larry at Home" I was looking for a completely enclosed solution that would protect my three kayaks from animals and wealth. Take care, Larry
