Tbh agreed... removing the db killer doesn't feel like it does anything at all. Been recently having classes on a mt-09 and we tried both with a sc project pipe. In addition to the noise, the bike maybe vibrates a bit more without it? But in terms of performance, absolutely no changes detected. At this point, i'm nearly certain the only reason to do it is to draw attention.
lol well said. super jealous and pumped you are practicing on an MT09. cant imagine lol. i love my 03, but am considering turning it into an XT-03 adventure bike. tires/luggage mounts/skidplate/ engine cage etc.. i tried to pass an old F150 on some back roads and the kids driving it just floored it to prevent me from passing and I didnt have enough juice xD lolol had to abort.
@@OneSmallFavour I haven't had the chance to try riding many bikes but lemme tell ya, mt-09 has the most sensitive throttle I've ever experienced. You need to handle it like it's a baby made of glass. A feather touch and it goes up to 40. No idea how larger/stronger people handle it. Mt-03 may be a "lightweight" but it will allow a lot more flexibility and hey, maybe even become an adventure bike! You don't need speed for that, just something that's easy to handle.
@@Harpeia hehe, dang thats interesting. the mt09 seems so torquey and even more so than the already wheelie happy mt07. its also a triple! thats super funny to. what are the details of your class?
@@OneSmallFavour basically, decided to get a full A licence. Not needed for my bike (which is A2), but the idea was to, instead of taking safety courses, I enrol into an actual school and get proper education, experience on a different bike + iron through all the categories at once. It's even cheaper than the safety course and you get a permit to ride anything. So, it's more or less starting from zero, on a beefier bike :)
At first it was fun when the baffle was removed from the SC-Project on a Ducati Monster 1200R. However, the fun only last about a season. You can't hear your Cardo and it will get tiresome after awhile. Moreover, it feels like it has more torque down low with the baffle but that's just a feeling, not dyno proven.
More loud = more power
how can we make it even louder ?
@@OneSmallFavour take the muffler off
@@dqitwithbrad Lolol, you mean the pipe ?
Not necessarily, it depends..
@@OneSmallFavour no the muffler, if you take the pipe off, the bike will sound bad
rune music haha
The gains lol. Basically an Akra Exhaust (t)
@OneSmallFavour yeah I have the guilded arrow exhaust on my husky 😆
