You sure can camp there. We didn't but if we had we would have explored a lot more. There was so much area to cover around there. Looking forward to going back.
City of rocks was super cool. Amazing geological wonder. The jasper was my favorite. So many pieces you picked up I thought I want to tumble that. The desert is so awesome! The beautiful views the rocks and all the other cool stuff. Thank for sharing
" This is a family channel ! " MAAAan I had was taking a drink when you said that Iced Tea came out my nose LOL I loved the City of Rocks that place looked very cool , and I am always so thankful for public rockhounding sites
Yes, many of the older generations, including my hairdresser. I'm deeply interest in what you do. We are in a 30 foot skoolie, so we are limited on what roads we take to roam and find treasures. We are heading to Demmings right now.
Wow, what an amazing adventure here. Oh you definitely go up at least 10 points with that hat on Liz! This area is so cool, wow, a lot of fun. It all makes sense now that the Sombrero carved all of this area. Climbing through it was awesome! "I Wanna Rock" wow some amazing finds out there, I always forget my spray bottle, just made a space for it in my backpack! Beautiful colors, such cool variety out here. I loved that you left a love note behind! I definitely have to make it out here, its been added to the map! That's definitely nice about the vegetation there! I would love to see you come back here! Vending machines are the worst when that happens! Lol, never mind what the shape of this rock looks like!"
Yeah geologists don't know what they are talking about. The Sombrero formed much of the Southwest. 🤣 I think we forgot to mention your love note you left too. It's sometimes funner than bringing them home.
I love rock hound park, great showers and camping for 18 bucks last year. I also bought 1 acre of land about 10 minutes from their. Love that area, going back in April
10 plus on the coolness factor for sure! Rockhound State Park looks like a fun time and you guys just hit a small portion of the park. Lots of Rockhound Treasures to search for makes for a very exciting day for sure! Another great video guys!!
Very cool adventure that sign was cool made out of all kinds of rocks. That park was awesome lots of cool trails, another video someday would be awesome at this location.
Hi Amy! Nice to meet you.. Welcome to the adventures. We post every Sunday at 10 am PST and Weds at 6 pm Pst. Thanks for watching. We hope to see you around in the comments.
My Grandparents would go out in rollers with a scarf over them but not wet hair, lol Such a beautiful area to be at. The rocks are so unique and beautiful :) I like how they have a can return container right next to the machine that gives you nothing, lol Now that is frustrating !! Enjoyed watching 😃👍
Definitely take us back. I've been wanting to go for a while now, thanks for the great views of what's there. Gotta go to city of rocks too. Family Channel! Lol, I died when you said that.
I thought that the canyon you guys walked through had a channel carved for collecting rain water. I dunno but then you showed the collecting pools I was like YUP! Wish there were more parks cool with rockhounding. Some nice finds considering you were just surface collecting next to the trail in such a picked over area! I love finding sexy rocks lol!
ok, so I qualify for "old fart" and I camped several times at City of Rocks before it was a "real" campground, there were no Visitor center or fancy campsites. And I've been to Rockhound State Park on one of my AZ walkabouts, thanks for taking me back down memory lane.
That's awesome! I bet the finds were more plentiful then too. Too bad it isn't free anymore. $5 wasn't too bad though. Not sure how much camping was. We stayed somewhere out of the park on BLM land.
Lmao Charlie! It’s an Elephant she says….. 10 points for sure Liz! a park for rock hounds? say what!? i’m in! and yes Charlie, you should go back some day! my word, I thought i was the only one still using the what you talkin about willis.😂😂😂. Hope you eventually got your Iced Tea Liz!
😆This is simple entertainment for me I see you have new fun stuff. blockbuster grade you've got the traction going I recommend everyone to watch till the end (goodies)
Kind of expected the drone to provide an overhead view of the City of Rock to show the maze. Rock hounding without your tools? How crazy is that? Maybe you were too anxious to get out there! Understandable for certain!
Karen Klamm 1 second ago I think we can all relate to the vending machine whoas. I vote to yes, return to Rockhound park, I did by watching this video again.
The first park might need a R rating 👀😂 it looked like a really cool place to explore though! Cool rock finds and I’m giving 10 cool points for the hat cause it’s a cool hat 😁 Did ya go to Florida Mountain?
Haha! It did need an R rating. We were appalled! 🤣 We never got to explore Florida Mountain but curious how it got its name though. Maybe we could have seen you guys from the top.
thats a big ahh elephant yea . whats up with all the x-rated rocks lol , liz hat cant fit through some of those passages she is deff protected from the sun today , some of the plants that are dying is because liz's hat is blocking the sun from hitting them . even the fly wants to be on youtube , define "a few rocks " really nice finds out there that botryoidal piece of perlite almost sounded like shovel material , i would have just gave it to her when i heard her talking about it three different times i think , only so many concussion's a brain can take , lol
The rock formations are beautiful . So you can camp there too . That place is magical and incredible. Gods country it’s spectacular .
We might have to send you some tumblers one of these days.
@@TheAdventureCloset if you guys come across some cool jasper or agates that you would like to see tumbled, send them to me I'll pay for shipping.

🤣 couldn't help it! Yes public rockhounding spots are awesome. It was worth the 5 bucks for 2 parks and showers.
Looked like such a fun hike, and you guys were finding cool rocks everywhere out there….great video guys!
Thank you! We didn't know whether to look at the ground or the view. It was beautiful there.
A very interesting video. Really enjoyed watching 🎉. A big thumbs up from Chris and Jane ❤
Thank you much! Nice meeting you.
Very cool, lovely material!
Thank you. Nice to find new stuff we'd never seen before.

We are heading to Demmings right now.
Demming is one of our favorite rockhounding areas. You will have a blast. Let us know how it goes. We miss it.
That was so cool
Thank you!

Beautiful area and great place to buy land. Bet you have some nice rocks.
Nice video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you! 😃

Haha! Thanks! Wish we weren't so rushed with the rocks. Would have loved to find some thundereggs.
Good luck my friend🙏
Thank you!
Nooooooo that stinky machine!!! Definitely go back to the Rockhound State Park! :)
I know! I think we missed a lot by hurrying.
Very cool adventure that sign was cool made out of all kinds of rocks. That park was awesome lots of cool trails, another video someday would be awesome at this location.
You'd have a blast there. So cool to have a park just for rockhounds. Hadn't seen that before.
I am so glad I found this channel! Awesome video, I can’t wait to watch more 😍

lol! Didn't notice that about the can return. Those scallywags!
Definitely take us back. I've been wanting to go for a while now, thanks for the great views of what's there. Gotta go to city of rocks too. Family Channel! Lol, I died when you said that.
This is one of the coolest spots in NM if you like rocks. Glad we could make ya laugh! 🤣
City of rocks is cool. We are there now. :) We plan to hit rock hound next. Got a skiff of snow here last night. Crazy. Beautiful spot to camp.
Oh I bet it's amazing under snow. Rockhound is super fun too. The material is all over the hillside. Have fun! We'd love to be there right now too.
I thought that the canyon you guys walked through had a channel carved for collecting rain water. I dunno but then you showed the collecting pools I was like YUP! We really did not do Rockhound State Park justice. We were rushed and I know there was way more to find and see. Haha! Sexy rocks are the best!
ok, so I qualify for "old fart" and I camped several times at City of Rocks before it was a "real" campground, there were no Visitor center or fancy campsites. And I've been to Rockhound State Park on one of my AZ walkabouts, thanks for taking me back down memory lane.

lol! We have definitely gotten more comfortable with the camera. Our silly is showing.
I think Liz needs a bigger hat. LOL, that ending. :D
Lol! Just a wee bit bigger and it'd be perfect! 😂
😆This is simple entertainment for me I see you have new fun stuff. blockbuster grade you've got the traction going I recommend everyone to watch till the end (goodies)
Thank you so much. Makes our day when someone enjoys our videos.
Both parks were awesome and I would probably have paid the money to stay overnight in a park for rockhounders!!
So worth it! We really didn't explore it all either.
Hi, great video and very informative. The only thing I would add the Florida mountains pronounced like flow-REE-duh. 😊😊
We had no idea! Thanks for letting us know. Glad you likes the adventure too.
@@TheAdventureCloset , Anytime.
Love your hat, Liz! That's from the Turd Ferguson collection, right?
Lol! It totally could be. Thank you!
Liz, I always go out with my hair wet lol I’m a brush and go kinda girl 🤷🏻♀️
🤜🤛 yeah sister!!!
Kind of expected the drone to provide an overhead view of the City of Rock to show the maze.
Rock hounding without your tools? How crazy is that? Maybe you were too anxious to get out there! Understandable for certain!
Yeah we had to be careful with the drone rules there. We were also rushed. Hence no tools. 🤣

Yeah we thought that was a family park, but we were wrong. 🤣 Surprised that hat hasn't blown away like her other one did. Same with the shovel! 😅
10:11 look at your feet that was formed for something... and looks like bad weather coming the sky has chem trails..11:22
Yeah I'm not sure if the native people did that or the park service on the rock formation. Didn't notice that!
I dont think that was an elephant. More like elephantiasis. 😲😜🤪
🤣 There's our Don!
