I have been following Shunyamurti for 2 years now. It is wonderful to return to this teaching after all this time. This is such a warm teaching so full of love. And so helpful to be able to laugh at the ego as well as see the comedic paradoxical structure of conciousnous and the crazy path of trying to liberate ourselves from this illusion. I am so grateful for these teachings. Shunyamurti's bredth of understanding is unlike any other teacher living today. OH YES, in 2012, it must have been VERY hard to hear this existential truth for a lot of people. Not as much now, 9 years later, but still.. this cuts right to the core of the nature of existence, and thus seem to "threaten" the ego/personhood, the false separate self. Om namah Shivaya

This is what the ancient Egyptians believed you should look into there foundational beliefs in numerology!!! Ancient kemet set the tone for the Greeks and airman’s and more importantly us to this day. Look up the root of the original roots to words like Horizon (Horus Rising) or animology. Very good stuff! I awoke one morning feeling so happy...don't know where I was while sleeping? But the words and realization " "there is nothing to do nowhere else to search" were CLEAR... I don't have to do anything more was such a relieving moment of joy and happiness. 🙂 of course I got out of bed and returned to personhood and was gone....but that feeling of knowing and joy/love/relief was AWESOME!! 🤗those more and more often moments of clarity are undescribable!!! 💟🙏

There are more brilliant thing. Do you know A real no-ego guy can't be burned by fire. They can fly. And they don't get drown by water. And they are powerful than god. Because the no-ego guy don't born to exist. In ancient myth I think there exist something like some guy is son of god. Or similar thing exist in some religions. That's proven that god still born. Usually the guy which is borned they finally die. The no-ego guy is beyond the birth & death. Not because these thing don't exist. It's because they know that it really is.
You describe my near death experience- the ego is really the flesh - to really experience this leave your body - but since my near death experience I have rare episodes of leaving my ego or body - but yet like homeostasis within the body we must still live within the matrix while understanding this illusion

It is the PERSON, the IDEA of ourselves that doesn't exist. It is a concept, thoughts - believed in. As we believe, so we (seem) to manifest. It informs our experiencing. Meher Baba in one of His declarations stated: "My advent is not to destroy illusion because illusion, as it is, is absolutely nothing. I come to make you become aware of the nothingness of illusion." And Meher Baba's book " God Speaks" is dedicated: " To the Universe-- the Illusion that sustains Reality"
I didn't find this a very useful session, but I'm a huge fan. It's from 9 years ago, Shunyanurti has matured since (for me). The message is true, re subsuming/ transcending/ killing the ego delusion, which can never be satisfied demanding its particularity, maintaining duality not oneness, but the delivery during that past 2 years speaks to me more. The Neverending Story takes a human through many stages including the Swamp of Sadness (dark night of the soul), the two Oracles (balance of mind), and dominating the ego with spirit. When the ‘nothing’ came, the boy reading the story realized when he gave up all attachments to his reality, he could then start over with a grain of sand. With the grain of sand, he could create his reality anew all over again...going from 1 to 0 and back to 1. Zero is the nothing. But when we give up trying to hold onto this life, we come to realize we created everything therefore, we have power over it. Just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, just like Labyrinth, just like Alice in Wonderland. And it’s boooorirrring when I realize I’m the only one & I lay around like a cat teasing a mouse in my mind...bc I have nothing better to do

movado These are not different They are the same. Nothing and everything are the same and you can picture this in material terms..kind of. What separates things in nature is space. What if there was no space but it was all full of infinitely dense matter? What could fit inside that? What would there "be". Existence is a vibration of -1/+1 The vibration makes a distinction but +1+-1=0 Nothing and everything are the same But "something is a wave or vibration and that's what gives the illusion that there is anything at all but not nothing or everything But it's just you that causes the wave.

This guy has a great vocabulary and strikes me as a good speaker. However he is selling his own concept. You can learn to quite the mind. Thought is Illusion, however thought is needed. He has some pretty cosmic concepts BUT his very concepts are only real if you BELIEVE them. Not everyone is dead on. Be careful what you Believe. The mind and thought's are very strong and create experience.

However, if you follow Shunyamurti's teachings you will find him like a wet bar of soap, he contradicts his own concepts, renders his teachings essential yet meaningless, speaks in both complexity and simplicity.. it is not meant to make sense. If you really spend time with Shunyamurti you will discover that his words are meant to confuse just as much as to clarify or teach, and it is in the moments of silence that he truly transmits what he is pointing to. i bet you Shunya himself would watch this video and have a good laugh at it. And since you speak of belief, there's some interesting food for thought in Sat Yoga's latest QA upload - "Free from Beliefs" that seem to walk alongside your arguments. i must say i enjoyed it, perhaps you will too.
Like he was saying from the start, many have invented myth religions, ( cults, occult, those 2 is coming from me), and he seems to be inventing his own myth as well. How ironic
Shunyamurti: Ego death is more than a metaphor. It is the sine qua non of every spiritual path. It is not a sufficient substitute to use "death, life" because that does not clarify that it is not a matter of physical death, but of recognizing the delusional nature of all mental constructs, including the I-thought, and transcending them, and abiding in the inner silence of pure awareness that is our true nature. You ask who does that, who lives without ego. The answer is: every liberated being.
One hit of 5 meo dmt and you will understand exactly, better yet, you will experience what this wise man is saying. Smoke it again, don’t smoke it again, I don’t care... but you will never forget that experience for the rest of your life.
@@jackd9300 It wasn’t so much the visualization aspect that hit me so hard (was the typical “being enveloped in a white light”) it was the almost instantaneous realization about Idealism (the philosophical concept) being the case for “reality”. I had somewhat understood it intellectually - but now I was aware of it empirically. This was so profound that I fell to the floor in cosmic laughter and complete existential awe. I also (to a lesser extent) became aware of the illusion of time. Return trips have only strengthened these cosmic epiphanies…. Consciousness/Intelligence/Awareness has levels - the levels that exist that we are not aware of are absolutely mind blowing.
Wow, the speaker has obviously done some work on himself, but he is overlooking the most important aspect, we do the things we do because that is what we are supposed to be doing, it doesn't matter that everything is illusory, we still have to chop the wood so to speak.

THis is what I like about the ancient non-dual philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism... it does not deny the Mind's "Experience" of DOership ... but it does address that the *Ultimate* Reality... that we ( to say our True SELF) are NOT the "DOer". From the limited perspective of a dream it does SEEM as though we travel to London and have tea with the Queen... while actually our "Head" never leaves our pillow. Likewise .. this so called "Physical" world SEEMS so real .. to the MIND, and yet all apparent ACTIONS take place in the non-local / non- physical Mind.. From the highest perspective.. there is no "OUT THERE" out there. The Mind is the creative tool of "God" ... our own Higher SELF / Pure Consciousness .. THAT One true Constant which both supports and permeates ALL Experiential realities of the Mind. To KNOW Thy SELF is to Realize that "We", our True SELF .. are the ONLY ONE "Here" .. and always have been. One = One and can never actually become TWO.... but can only create the experience of TWO and Otherness via the Mind.

One has to admire the inspirational communication and education , We are nothing other than one source . Which is evolving and devolving to understand consciousness reality and actuality . .If we can evolve to nothing there will always be something as one dose not exist without the other ,but existance is that what we deem and believe it it to be . Dose not make it reality ,Just a concept ,So if the true reality is we work to become nothing it is still something as it is manifest in form so reality still exists . something and nothing are both energy of a forms of divine essence which we are either apart or separate from . both our being and non being has been created beyond reality by a form which is of non form or manifestation which is niether being or non being ,. Beyond your consciousness of thought form like infinity. If this chap explains reality as an illusion why is it needed ? if there is no devine purpose ,goal or deaire why is anything or one bothering to pass on any the message ? what purpose would source to have a constructed illusion of reality for mankind , be careful for what you wish for it just may come true . great philosophy may I ask why bother to teach this and run courses as these are goal oriented for sure . As all religious traditions and scriptures are methology maybe so is this ,
Just to make it very clear, we are spirit from source and we came into this physical body because at the same time we enter the physical we get the spiritbody, and without the spiritbody there cant be an afterlife in the spiritworld.

Was really interesting as how real this nonexistent life is
The Neverending Story takes a human through many stages including the Swamp of Sadness (dark night of the soul), the two Oracles (balance of mind), and dominating the ego with spirit. When the ‘nothing’ came, the boy reading the story realized when he gave up all attachments to his reality, he could then start over with a grain of sand. With the grain of sand, he could create his reality anew all over again...going from 1 to 0 and back to 1. Zero is the nothing. But when we give up trying to hold onto this life, we come to realize we created everything therefore, we have power over it. Just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, just like Labyrinth, just like Alice in Wonderland. And it’s boooorirrring when I realize I’m the only one & I lay around like a cat teasing a mouse in my mind...bc I have nothing better to do

Everything is perfect
This guy has a great vocabulary and strikes me as a good speaker. However he is selling his own concept. You can learn to quite the mind. Thought is Illusion, however thought is needed. He has some pretty cosmic concepts BUT his very concepts are only real if you BELIEVE them. Not everyone is dead on. Be careful what you Believe. The mind and thought's are very strong and create experience.

However, if you follow Shunyamurti's teachings you will find him like a wet bar of soap, he contradicts his own concepts, renders his teachings essential yet meaningless, speaks in both complexity and simplicity.. it is not meant to make sense. If you really spend time with Shunyamurti you will discover that his words are meant to confuse just as much as to clarify or teach, and it is in the moments of silence that he truly transmits what he is pointing to. i bet you Shunya himself would watch this video and have a good laugh at it.
And since you speak of belief, there's some interesting food for thought in Sat Yoga's latest QA upload - "Free from Beliefs" that seem to walk alongside your arguments. i must say i enjoyed it, perhaps you will too.

@@jackd9300 It wasn’t so much the visualization aspect that hit me so hard (was the typical “being enveloped in a white light”) it was the almost instantaneous realization about Idealism (the philosophical concept) being the case for “reality”. I had somewhat understood it intellectually - but now I was aware of it empirically. This was so profound that I fell to the floor in cosmic laughter and complete existential awe. I also (to a lesser extent) became aware of the illusion of time. Return trips have only strengthened these cosmic epiphanies….
Consciousness/Intelligence/Awareness has levels - the levels that exist that we are not aware of are absolutely mind blowing.
Wow, the speaker has obviously done some work on himself, but he is overlooking the most important aspect, we do the things we do because that is what we are supposed to be doing, it doesn't matter that everything is illusory, we still have to chop the wood so to speak.

THis is what I like about the ancient non-dual philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism... it does not deny the Mind's "Experience" of DOership ... but it does address that the *Ultimate* Reality... that we ( to say our True SELF) are NOT the "DOer".
From the limited perspective of a dream it does SEEM as though we travel to London and have tea with the Queen... while actually our "Head" never leaves our pillow. Likewise .. this so called "Physical" world SEEMS so real .. to the MIND, and yet all apparent ACTIONS take place in the non-local / non- physical Mind..
From the highest perspective.. there is no "OUT THERE" out there. The Mind is the creative tool of "God" ... our own Higher SELF / Pure Consciousness .. THAT One true Constant which both supports and permeates ALL Experiential realities of the Mind.
To KNOW Thy SELF is to Realize that "We", our True SELF .. are the ONLY ONE "Here" .. and always have been. One = One and can never actually become TWO.... but can only create the experience of TWO and Otherness via the Mind.
There is NO SOUND if no one is aware to hear it. There is NO LIGHT if no one is there to see it. Awareness in and of itself gives definition or not.
