Awesome video, thanks! Just as a quick tip to everyone out there, make sure not to de-dust your fan blades right above or near the logic/mother board. A lot of the particulates, though tiny, get all over it, and for some reason they're waaay stickier than regular dust. I learned this from experience. Nothing bad's happened, but why risk it? I like the thin-bristle brush in the video, and although it probably took away most of the dust, if you look at it under a microscope you'll probably find there's tons of itty bitty junk on it still. Optimally, dust in a well-ventilated area, not anywhere you usually breathe or touch things. Like outside, or in a garage where it doesn't matter where this dust goes.
God, that's such a tedious process just to clean and repaste the processor. Thanks for the guide. Does anyone have the normal idle temp for this Acer? Mine is around 88c and it's uber slow.
Nope. The thermal pad is thicker than paste. If you apply paste, it will not reach the heatsink, so the CPU will overheat. If you try to apply a thick layer of thermal paste, the CPU will still overheat, because paste only work well in thin layers. The only solution is a good thermal pad of at last 1mm thickness. I know because I'm in this situation now and the only thing that worked was a thick thermal pad.
I got the same laptop and its not easy as it looks here. That gadget looks like a razor blade. I tried on mine with a thin nail file and it looks like its held down with cellophane paper, so he/she was cutting that paper. Yes it does have a cmos battery, like all pc's.

thanks from JPN👍

The correct is to use a good and thick thermal pad. Removing the pad and applying paste will cause the CPU to overheat like in your case.
that is thermal pad, is it okay to remove it and apply thermal paste?
Nope. The thermal pad is thicker than paste. If you apply paste, it will not reach the heatsink, so the CPU will overheat. If you try to apply a thick layer of thermal paste, the CPU will still overheat, because paste only work well in thin layers.

Thanks Very Much!
Nice this is good!
you're welcome
Demontaż wykonany lepiej niż pokazany przez innych, chociaż trochę wiedzy brakuje. Składanie bez wymiany pasty termo przewodzącej? To błąd!
Tu błąd jest już producenta. Dał termopad zamiast pasty i temu się tak grzeje.
what fans can i use instead in aspire one 722 laptop because this laptop fan is not available
do these have a cmos battery, if so where is it located.....thanks... ..........
How do I fix a left hand hinge on my Acer aspire one 722 laptop please can someone help me.
Hi! You can buy new one here - goo.gl/zMccJ3
Thanks Very Much :)))))

And now, how to assemble it back :)

The CPU is soldered on? :(
uh yeah, its a laptop. pretty much ll laptops use a BGA(ball grid array) mount
