She should have looked to what a true sportsperson like Dementieva did in Doha 2008. Having already known that she was through to the semis with the withdrawl of Serena, Elena still ground out a mighty three setter against Petrova to enter the next stage of the tournament on a winning note and as a fact of respect to the sport. Azarenka can never be such an ambassador for the sport.
@Redh0t2011 Yes that's another side of the coin. But still I think that 4:0 in the 1st set was that Bartoli went a little down and 90% Azarenka could beat her.
It's unacceptable behaviour from Azarenka. Yes the outcome of this match didn't matter to her progression into the tournament SF, but it's very disrespectful towards Bartoli (who was forced to play this match due to Sharapova's withdrawal) and to the crowd who have paid good money to see this match. This is why Azarenka remains unpopular in relation to other former World No.1 players.
This was good example how much is Azarenka better than Bartoli. Azarenka's opinion was (I think) close to: I don't want to spend energy which can be usefull in the SF with this two handed forhand jumping bitch. Bartoli's opinion: Now I want the money and I want them right now. I will fight to the death to get them. So Bartoli was giving everything she could. Azarenka played 50% and still: 7:54:64:6 from Azarenka's point of view (should be at least 6:46:1)

lol u can see azarenka wasnt trying in the middle of the second set but somehow thats the biggest she has hit the ball in the whole championships
Azarenka attitude is attrocious
I actually kinda enjoy Azarenkas game when shes not grunting obnoxiously loud...
there was very small (and sometimes no) grunts from azarenka in this match. goes to show she can play pretty well without it :-)

Azarenka's arrogance is beyond annoying.
