Fun fact : asagiri (the Mangaka) sat with his harukawa ( the one who draw the manga ) at 3 am to design chuuya,wanting to make chuuya a good character in the manga he stated « chuuya was just perfect » ,after finishing chuuya’s character,in a interview

The power our short king holds
Chuuya is a character in my opinion who is very similar to Odasaku. He cares about his men, clearly holds empathy, and most importantly he shows or forces Dazai to have a human side. He is a character who would have been perfect for the ADA, if not much more than Dazai yet the harsh world of BSD did not allow that.
Chuuya and Dazai are literally amazing. As a comment has already said chuuya is a short king

You analysis is great, however there is some misinformation in the video that may be misleading. Chuuya was not Rimbaud and Verlaine's test subjects, rather they were the ones breaking Chuuya out of being a test subject but had an arguement over it which ultimately led to them unsealing Chuuya or breaking him out of his test tube thing(idk how to call it). Their lore is complicated and even I don't really know how to explain it all. I suggest you read Stormbringer(the light novel) or the 15 light novel(if you haven't already) because overall it paints a better understanding of Chuuya's backstory, his character, and his relationship with Dazai. Altough the anime adaptation is good and all it does a bad job at depicting character arcs and adds unnecessary sexualization(yosano's ability) while removing important panels in the manga(example: Dazai laughing at Chuuya's joke, Nikolai's expression when talking to Fyodor). If you haven't read the manga, i suggest you do so, it's much more detailed and has so much better characterization than in the anime(fyodor also looks 10x better in the manga). Amazing video, i barely see any bsd enjoyers on yt!
