im a big celtic man but fair play always had respect for him after what he done for wee tommy burns at his funeral credit were its due to him for that was a nice touch
Not a Blue Nose, but always admired Walter Smith. Sad to think of him no longer with us. Hoped one day to have met him. Would've been a real highlight for me.
Should be a statue of Walter at Ibrox , this man emulates Rangers , he is class personified ! ... Was great to watch all his terms at Rangers firsthand from the stands , i always believed the best man was at the helm ! .. Dont be a stranger to Ibrox Walter , its always a better place with you in attendance!!
If he just got Mario stanaj who if memory serves was the signing they had to pull the plug on because the finances weren't what they thought they were and they hadn't sold Duncan Ferguson, the first season could have seen them finish around 10th. That might have been enough for them to keep matterazi who of course went on to play for Inter Milan and the national team, and there could have been a foundation there to start pushing for the UEFA cup places or try and make it to one of the domestic cup finals in his second year rather than what happened which was 14th then 12th. Who was lied to when he came in and if you known that he was down to the last of the money he had he wouldn't have signed Unsworth, he would have signed stanic because goals were what the team needed not more defenders.
NB how did you come to this conclusion? Fergie done nothing. Hughes, again done nothing. What did Walter do to come behind these two and above Ally MacLeod or Craig Brown?
I'm a Celtic fan but I have total respect for this legend.

Rip Walter. 💚
What a man. Walter gave us the very best of Paul Gascoigne and built some incredible teams. God bless him.
Godfather
He should be knighted by now

Hampden is a midden! How come England and Wales got brand new stadiums and we got a 'redeveloped' Hampden?
B M Misplaced sentiment .
as i understand the redevelopment of Hampden cost more than the total cost of building the Welsh national stadium…… hampden is past its sell by

Walter talking about our greatest manager
Cracking interview with one of the football greats.
3rd greatest Scottish manager of all time only behind Alex Ferguson and John Hughes
NB how did you come to this conclusion? Fergie done nothing. Hughes, again done nothing. What did Walter do to come behind these two and above Ally MacLeod or Craig Brown?
Barry Howard Fergie done nothing? Explain that one pal
NB I think he is meaning Fergie's time as Scotland manager
NB he achieved nothing with Scotland. This is about Scotland.
If anything, he's above them with what he done with Scotland.
