This very piece, by this very band, led me to Bach. And that led me to study classical guitar. That was 1977 , I was 21. I still play Bouree ( the Bach version of course) at least three times weekly. Jethro Tull changed my musical direction. I still dig rock, but classical guitar much more:)
I heard Jethro Tull in 1972 for the first.I bought the Living in the Past lp,on it ,Bouree .Have been an immense Tull fan ever sinds.Ian Anderson and JSB are great contributors to music. Bought the latest Jethro Tull Album ,The Zealot Gene. Just brilliant!
Kudos to all the band members, they have either really got to love their songs or they have the most patience in the world, having to hear them thousands of times repeatedly.
I got to see Tull once when they came to play near me. Of all the concerts I've been to I thought that was the best. They played everything and killed it. My eyes were glued to the stage unless someone was passing me a joint 🤣
Too far from Jethro Tull these new members don’t have the versatility of the old ones . This is only Ian Anderson band , never compare with M Bare D Perry A Giddings and D Pegg o J Noyce .
there are many great classic rock artists, many great songs , and they all do what they do best and i like and listen to and dance to many classic rock songs......and jthro tl is one of the greatest- for a guy to mix rock with clasical music , the riffs, the keys, the discipline and skill to put it all together and to pull this off.......is amazing to me and always will be amazing music- try to find msuicians like hese now days.......melody or music is hard to do
The location is an old castle in Austria. There are a lot of concerts every year... i've been to a few of them. It's a very nice location. According to the upload date it was probably in 2016.

I am glad that you shared this lovely memory with us
I was a teenager & nobody wanted to play the flute in school .... until Jethro Tull became a regular on the hit radio.

Can't understand how people can just sit down on this show. When they came in Italy I was the only one who danced all night long.
That's impressive, dancing to Jethro Tull without injuring your back with those time signatures involved, I would end up in the Emergency Room! 😂
You're one of those, huh?
You dont unsdertand nything
You must have had better geare than them buddy. Ya needed to be well stoned tolistento tat and I was a musician friend off them. Ha ha

The court minstrel plays on...Ian Anderson an immense talent.
Yes, I have the same opinion
I love the fact that the bassist quoted part of Glen Cornick's classic solo. Respect.
But not as good as Cornick!

I had the pleasure of giving Gale, Ian's daughter a lift back to Bristol after a Weekend in Jersey... Awesome sound and a most excellent band....
Thank you for sharing this experience!
My favorite Tull song. Thanks for posting this. 😊
I'm glad I could make you happy

Ironically I came to Tull from Switched on Bach - found Ian's flute playing magical!

It would be nice, but it's me.
are you the one with the blue shirt and glasses?, if so, you are identical to Chuck Norries man...
congratulations for the good taste in music
@@Jesus_Legal I'm wearing a blue t-shirt but no glasses. Thank you for the congratulations and for responding to my video!

Grazie per aver commentato
It's hard to believe he can still stand on one leg and still play the flute
Then we wrote 2016. That was the situation then, I don't know what it is now.
C cool!
Thank you very much
Probably you were the only one in Italy concert dancing everyone else baled out to get ice cream.
The recording was made in Austria
Thanks
Inspired by the genius of the #GOAT JS Bach
Yes
Same guitar player that toured with Greg Lake
Yes the pidepipperlives
😀
This is not Jethro Tull. Martin Barre was in Jethro Tull and he is clearly absent.
That's right, Marten Barre was not among them then, in 2016
Dommage que ce soit filmé avec les pieds
That is how that bass should have been played on the original song. Well done 👍
Yes, thank you very much !
Im a wizard
I generally don't watch live performances because of idiots yelling and whistling and spoiling the song while great musicians try to perform.
When and where was this concert?

It‘s Burg Clam in upper austria

it's time to stop them to doing live.
