I'm a 63 year old mom to 4, gramma to 10. My son and I were lucky enough to see Ian and the boys on Jethro Tull's 50th Anniversary Tour in Indio CA on July 5, 2019. During the first set Ian gave us a thrill in the form of a 7.1 EARTHQUAKE! No one does it better folks. ( This was the 3rd time I've seen Tull, the other 2 in the early 70's but the FIRST time I've been treated to a real live earthquake at an event. Thank you Ian, we enjoyed it!).
It is so cool that Ian Anderson endures to this day. His early years were so over the top, but now he's mellowed, yet the same intensity is obviously there. A genuinely decent man.

I think Ian Anderson is Amazing. I love to hear him play the flute in any song I hear him play. I think that Lucia is beautiful! She plays the violin awesomely. I could listen to her all day. They both can sing quite well.

for a self taught flautist, he shows the classically trained musicians that with natural ability and flair you can excel.
Love this guy! He's one of the few musicians where you can tell it's him after hearing just half a bar.
He never plays it the same way I've seen Tull 10 times over the years and he does it differently each time, so YES it is improvising.
I'm jealous! I would have loved to see this *Genius* in person!

His version from Stand Up blew me away back in '69 and still gives me chills to this day. This version is wonderful.
I love his respect for the classics. The layers of sound and emotion are rarely heard today.

The first Jethro Tull song I ever heard was Bouree, 50 years ago. I’m a huge fan ever since.
His talent is shown especially well on his solo albums where he plays most all instruments
