Although my painting didn’t turn out quite like yours, I’m so glad I tried it. I love the colors and the design! Thanks for the way you do your tutorials.
I was a little confused with the wooden number signs .... I LOVED how you took the time to show the paint color you actually used with brand name and color clearly visible...this was and is soo very helpful
The number is the tool number I'm using. I use DIY Mandala Stones tool set in all my videos. If you would like a listing of the sizes (if you don't own them) just let me know and I'll post it for you.
I learn so much from you. I love this and hope you won't mind if I use it for my first album.? You make it look so easy.Thank you for your time and talent and for sharing.
Thanks so much Sandra, of course I do not mind that’s why I post them. 😀. It is easy just take your time and it will turn out lovely. If I can do it anyone can! Lol
I love dotting on albums! What I don't love is the centre hole. I have discovered, and maybe everybody already knows this, thatnif you put a small piece of tape over the hole on the back side, it's easy to paint in the base color. Also, if there's tape there, if you do a "big dot" overvthe hole it fills right in. Just thought I'd share 😊
This is very true I thought about putting tape and then filling it with resin to bring it even but that's the OCD in me talking lol. A lot of folks will just glue a gem/rhinestone over the hole to hide it.
Another great project! Love the colors and the design. I haven’t done an album yet, but wondered when I do, if I should base coat it first. I wondered if the paint would go into the grooves, but didn’t look like that was an issue on this.
The paint does go into the grooves and kind flattens the sides of some dots. I don't mind it though its really not super noticeable. But some people do coat their records first.
@@deniseakselrod271 no I haven't sealed any of them yet still debating what I want to put on them. I've had one done for almost a year now and its not peeling or anything still looks great. I'm a little afraid of what a spray might do, debating resin just haven't tried yet.

I’m sure it’s beautiful, it’s nice to change things up and make it your own. 😀
@@SueSloan I think it turned out great! Thanks for the encouragement.

You’re right, it’s not noticeable. Did you seal it?

I haven’t braved using resin yet. I normally use a brush on sealer like Liquitex.
perfect!
Sue, can you recommend a replacement color for Calypso Blue? I don't have it and I refuse to pay $10.00 on Amazon. Thx
Dick Blick is a bit more expensive then Michaels but way cheaper then amazon. www.dickblick.com/products/decoart-americana-acrylic-paints/
I’m not home to look at my colors...but you can get calypso blue there for under 3.00...won’t be home til beginning of March to look.
@@SueSloan Thanks!! I ordered it from that site. I just need to find another album design to paint
