Built this model recently (had parts list from when you first posted it on patreon.) Very interesting building techniques, quite challenging at times. I do find the roof a bit fragile. You probably improved the design since then. That aside, the final model is stunning in person and looks great with the A3 Emerald Night MOC you did. 🎉 Thank you!
Remarkable! Wonderful! Building coaches in 7mm/1:43.5 scale is laborious, yours looks much more fun! A late friend of mine - when you pointed out freewheeling coach wheels - used to have machined (quite toxic) PTFE bearings for his 7mm coaches, made the loco feel as if it was running light as the coaches had little/no rolling resistance. Another family friend's, son, built a wonderful Gauge 1 Class 37 from Lego, ingenious, I think he was about 13 at the time, it was remarkable and akin to your work🤔🤔😊
Junior question here : where do you get the not so custom lego bricks here, with these colors etc... is there a website where you get those "on demand" or you're piliung tons of legit lego sets before being able to assemble theses marvels ? Great content, loads of dreams for loads of people, keep up the good work !
Congarts ! I am The 600 th like ! :))) Wow your trains are soo good detailed And with legendary form.... You must ce very special And food at this ! Btw now i am working at my first real Life based locomotive MOC :))
Have you thought of getting 2x5x2.5mm captive bearings, you can get them at a very good price from Aliexpress. You slip these on the axles, then they insert into the original block - and the bearing fits in the space of the of the block making this a much cheaper option for bogies. Fantastic model as ever. I have made mocs of BR-9F and BR 4T, but nothing at the level of yours.
Do you do a 6 wide version for us paupers who are skint or on a budget? This 7w is nothing short of magnificent, unfortunately so is the parts list. I saw an 8w version that are very nice, but £480 per carriage in parts is well out of my price range at the moment, this MOC lark aint cheap. I thought, "That Orient trains nice , but £260? no. What if I do a cheapo 6w version myself and order the parts". by the time I was done it cost more than the Orient Express! Is there some secret Lego parts store thats cheap, or maybe I need to find another hobby. Just those windows you used with the train glass are around £4 each, and there are 8 of them...Never mind, time for some sweet liquor to ease the pain. Have fun!
I would use bricklink and not the offical LEGO website (unless there is a certain part cheaper). My coaches usually cost around $100-150 USD. My next tutorial is a lot less complicated than this build and should be a lot cheaper.
I have a question regarding power functions. When it comes to an engine that could pull maybe 12 of these at a decent medium-high speed, what motor, in terms of size, quantity, and which generation, would be best for one? I'm trying to design a PKP Pu29, but I'm not sure about what to cram into the boiler.
@@americantttefan4745 power function motors, but maybe use either an SBrick, Pfx brick or buwizz to control your engine. All are much better than what LEGO can provide.
@@Britishbricks I took a gander, yeah, Buwizz seems reasonably compact compared to a standard lego reciever and battery box. Considering the compact size of the tender of the Pu29, it would work splendidly! Perhaps I could even fit it in the boiler or cab :o
Hey L Duke, I think you over estimating the time I have for building trains. I’m super busy with uni work, my patreons are patiently waiting for an update at the moment. I’m also in the process of building my new display tables, which will take more time as well.
The lego train community doesn't deserve you! You continue to blow my mind with how you build!!!
Too kind Luke, you too have made some amazing contributions to the community as well! Cheers!
Hi Luke I'm a fan
@@stantheshagster1484 thank you!
This is so good it’s hardly recognisable as Lego! Won’t copy it brick for brick but will definitely take some inspiration. Great work.
Go for it! Thanks again :)
I still can't comprehend how much you push s.n.o.t. to the limit! Great job!
Many thanks!
Onistly this is my favorite British coach and you have captured it perfectly

Thank you very much!

@@Britishbricks your welcome.
I was looking at your flickr page the other day and was wondering if I could get the instructions for the blue bell locomotive if possible
Like I said before, don't have the LDD file for the scrapped loco. Sorry
Yay new vid and also very nice build 👍🏻
Thanks! 😁
Hi just wondering if you could link all the pieces in the description, and the instructions. Thank you.
I'll try to in the future!
How do you get the 2x2 curved Slopes in LDD

Thank you I can use this with any loco I own
Sounds perfect then!
what colour is the 2 x 3 used in the beginning?
because its coming upto its 100th birthday in 2 years time do you think you'll make the Flying scotsman with the GNR tender as she looked in 1923
Awesome idea, will think about the GNR livery, but always wanted to do it in BR green.
What scale do you work in? It looks like 1:48 or 4 studs = 5 feet but I'm not sure. Either way really cool!
Roughly 1:48, I use the small LEGO train wheel will to scale my builds, which works out to be 3ft2in.
Who the hell disliked this? This is a really good vid!
Thanks Timo!
also known as gordons express coach. amazing work:)
Cool, thanks!
Nice!
Thanks!
Only complain is a lack of part list! (maybe its Patreon, but if is, it should be publicly available ;D)
Will this go around standard radius curves?
So cool!!
Thanks!
I forgot to ask,but if you could, can you possibly make a tutorial in Stepney or your BR 08?
Don’t think I’ll do for Stepney, like it too much! Sorry!
You all saw it folks! He didn't say he wouldn't show us a how to for the 08!
Or maybe do a tutorial li,e you did in this video for Stepney or the BR 08
Oh ok
dam thats a crap ton of parts, must of been a pain to do this. Very nice build !!
Try doing 5x, plus another 2x to go (give me strength...).

for starters how do you not have more subs!?
and second how many of these are you planning to build?

maybe a Pillbox breakvan tutorial?

Either 2x M motors or maybe 1x motor, would be enough for these coaches. The bearing make this incredible easy to pull.

My only problem is that it doesn't fit my gauge. Will definitely take inspiration. Great moc!
What gauge are you talking about? 6 or 7 wide, or the size of track?
4 wide. I don't have room for a 6 wide layout so I make scaled down versions of British locomotives and rolling stock.
What's the door handle piece called
Looking at the pullman coaches in the trouble with trains. This is better
Many thanks, they are an older builder compared to this though. Cheers!
are these coaches capable of navigating R40 curves?
Awsome!
Thanks!
How do you build a signal?
Haven't really tackled a working signal yet, will have to do it at some point!
Where is a good place to buy pieces for cheap prices?
Bricklink, BrickOwl, Ebay, Bricks & Pieces... try those out

Any idea how much it would cost to build 1?
For me it costs around AU$140 - without shipping. There definitely not cheap, because of their size.
What about a br mk 1 tpo ?
YES! Will have to do at some point!
I have only a 1/3 of the pieces you have to make that.
Keep saving up and one day you'll have 3/3 ;)
