I do remember worse in northen Ontario , there was no visibiliety , we were 5 guy's in the pick-up , one had to walk in front of it , to loced the boundries of the road , that was about 1987 ?!

@@CptSchmidtgood winter tires make such a big difference. I love driving in a snow storm when the roads are deserted w proper snow tires. But where I live (north of nyc), we don’t get much snow anymore so i no longer have dedicated winter tires and avoid driving in the snow now :(

wow, you say 800 meters? well that is .497 miles so I was closer when I said ONE HALF MILE not 1 mile. I counted the streetlights and rounded them down to 300 feet per block and guessed 1/2 mile which is about 800 meters. When we get a blizzard here in Michigan, I can't see 100 feet. BTW, this blizzard you show doesn't even have very much wind. Yea it is a fair amount of snowfall but blizzard, not. I have seen it snow 48 inches in 8 hours and that was just a lot of snow.
Okay, but this storm fit the Canadian definition of a blizzard. Visibility must be less than 1km for at least three hours by snowfall/blowing snow. At times in this video, visibility is barely 100m. Just because sometimes it snows heavier than what you see here does not mean that this was not a blizzard.
It amazes me that Canadians don't carry mitts or toques in their vehicles in the winter time, let alone a shovel, stupidity...I know, I know most of them are now immigrants...

2004 Volvo XC70, AWD, with Goodyear Nordic Winter tires, not studded.

At no point in this video is the visibility more than 1km. It's mostly between 500-800m at most.
