IDK why people getting sponsorships from Lootbar falsely advertise the 20% off. If that were true, the $100 pack would cost $80 plus taxes, not $86 plus taxes. Not saying $86 is bad. I'm gonna be happy with it as long as the guarantee (if you lose your 50/50) doesn't go away each patch like it does in genshin's chronicled wish, or even better just remove 50/50 like in HI3 (I know it won't happen but a man can dream)

@@SmashTheAdam I think they mean retain the pity system but also remove the 50/50. Although honestly I'm fine with the 50/50 esp with new players who dont have the old standard characters. I think it should be something like after 500 pulls or you have one copy of every standard character you can no longer lose them 50/50s
i hope and pray they go with the HI3 style banner, i need that shared pity with the reruns and new characters! I really want to get Seele's Light Cone and Lingsha (and perhaps her Light Cone too), i have been saving for those since the end of Firefly's Banner

I don't play HI3. But in the economic stanpoint, I think it would affect the character's first banner income. If its no 50/50, we could wait for other people to try the char in their first banner if they are good or not, then guaranteed to get them in the rerun banner. Then people get more strict with character quality, then it would affect hoyoverse's income more
@@ohmygodratatuiAs a player of both of these games, I would say that the 50/50 system is fine in HSR as it currently is for normal limited banners but not for this supposedly new banner. I understand the concern when you mentioned the economical standpoint and that’s why I think the normal 50/50 system if fine for normal banners. The reason is that the difference between a limited character from each game requires a different amount of gacha items (character & gears) to be considered as fully equipped.
In HI3, you have to pull 5 items for a single S-rank valkyrie to be well-equipped, 1. the character card, 2. the weapon, and 3. the three stigmata. Meanwhile, in HSR, you only need 2 items for a single 5 star character to be well-equipped; 1. the character card, and 2. the lightcone.
So this is the big difference that makes it to be riddiculous for a 50/50 system in HI3 considering the total amount of pulls to get all the 5 items. Though it’s not the best way to have this system in the first place from the consumer perspective, it’s still manageable to comply with this in HSR.

I don't pull for every character that comes out I sometimes even go 2-3 patches without pulling anyone so having the possibility of getting the characters I wanted earlier rather than waiting for them is a good thing in my opinion. If they go the Honkai Impact 3rd route with this banner system then all the better.

I really hope they take Honkai Impact's route on this 'cause Genshin's Chronicled Wish was a disaster, truly unfair and had 0 good characters in it :_) I wanna trust Star Rail's devs, the concept of getting more reruns is great if done right! 💜💜
As bad as the mechanics on Chronicled were I disagree with the notion that it had 0 good chars. I got Mona from Chronicled and I needed her for my Hyperbloom team. Really I think that's the biggest benefit of Chronicled, it helps you pity Standard 5*s which you otherwise have no control over. Which is something I desperately needed because I've been playing since 2.0 and never once pulled Mona or Keq, I keep getting Jean and Diluc cons over and over and over again.
@@eclipse5708 In HSR, they need this less since they have a standard selector after 300 pulls (am FINALLY getting close now at 230 pulls)... really wish Genshin had this for people though although I've been lucky so far... still need Tighnari and Keqing though... ;_;
@@natalies8498 True, but the limitation to the 300 pull selector is that you only get it once, if you want more than one of the Standard 5*s you're shit out of luck (luckily I have not had that issue). There needs to be a RECURRING mechanic for selecting Standards, not just a singular one.

Eight characters per patch is too much for a game that's just over a year old.
I think they could add one character after a while, so that the number of reruns directly depends on the number of characters released.
For example, in 2.5-3.1 there will be 3 reruns per patch, in 3.2-3.6 there will be four reruns per patch, etc.
Yeah, this is what I was thinking, it's too soon to rerun that many chars in one patch. I think 3 reruns per patch is sufficient until like, 4.0 or something. Then maybe they could up it to 6 reruns.

Chronicle Wish is already forgotten and i think it don´t comeback. It was just a lazy move, that they don´t "have" to rerun Klee and Eula in a separate banner. Thats all in my view. Still waiting for Shenhe for my Wrio...

Seems like it's not possible to do so because of laws in China. What they Can Do is to increase the Standard pulls they give us. But that is something too unreal

well, In HI3 there is a lot of limited character added in standard banner, more than the original character. the characters already out of date like 3+ years old but still have some niche for casuals (can't compete on top 2% and highest difficulty). for comparation the old vs new one, maybe its like serval to acheron.

Love that HI3 rerun banner system, I think they have looked at HI3 and tried to do something different in Genshin but it blew up in their faces and realised: “ok we messed up here, we will try to improve it in Genshin but lets return back to HI3 reruns for HSR”. Its clear they’ve taken notes from Genshin’s story quests and implemented the improvements in HSR and might apply this into it because they do show a preference towards it due to the numerous connections to HI3

I think this HI3rd type banner system which is a lot better than the GI one could be a good way actually since everyone is waiting for Topaz, Robin and Aventurine for the Feixiao team. Since many people like myself skipped out on those three at the time of their initial release and we want new characters like Feixiao to perform as optimally as possible
If they make like Honkay Impact, if it's gurantee the rerun character, it will be better to wait reruns and allways get the guranteed character you want.
In this game old units work really well, so unless you're in need of a powerfull unit now, it will be better to wait and gurantee your characters.

Honestly I think a chronicled wish system would be cool as long as it was a single 50/50 with pity that carried over to the event banners and didn’t reset per patch. Would be effectively the same as a normal rerun banner with a selectable target, only with the added bonus that you could lose 50/50 to a limited character as well
Hoping that it isn’t like the Chronicled wish wherein if you lose your 50/50 you have to summon until you get your character because when the banner ends your point also resets, but I’m very much looking forward to this new banner! I would prefer the HI3 type
I'm surprised to see everyone in the comment section wanting the HI3 banner system. Ofc it would be the best IF there wasn't a 50/50... But realistically speaking they are NOT gonna get rid of the 50/50. Otherwise, it would not make sense to pull a character on release with the possibility of losing the 50/50, if in the future that same character is just going to be in a banner with guaranteed rates.
I think the Genshin-style banner is the best option 'cause if you happen to lose the 50/50 at least there's the possibility of getting another limited (I'd rather get an eidolon for Jing Yuan than ANOTHER Bronya, personally). Let's also remember that usually HSR takes things from Genshin and makes them better. So they could use the Chronicled Wish as a base and adjust it by implementing a shared pity between banners or at least shared pity with the next chronicled wish.
The chronicled banner haven't got a rerun, so technically the "fate point resets" thingy hasn't affect us yet lol

I think both banners are good, but it would be incredibly good if the banner has a guarantee for the character you chose (like the HI3) at least the first time you get a 5*, and then it goes to 50/50 again, de 100% chance to get the one you like not only helps you, but the character relevance as well, as an outdated character can get easier to max out this way

If it's 2 new characters per patch and 3 rerun per patch, that'd work out best for the players. You get 6 weeks of trying for the rerun characters in case there's 2 or more of them you want. Let's hope 5050 either doesn't exist and you're guaranteed the character (makes Eidolons easier to acquire) or at least let the pity carry over.
I think that the chronicle wish from its description would be better on a long time banner, in the first one for example I thought that the banner was gonna last for all the version and not only 21 days and if it's like that in HSR which means a big banner looking like the chronicle wish banner but lasts 1 or 2 patches instead of just 21 days
More reruns makes a lot of sense, but 10 limited characters per patch? At the same cost? Same level of rewards? As if choice paralysis weren't already a huge problem. I hope that more changes come along with this that enable the system to remain accessible, we will see.

I honestly think it's a great idea kinda makes more old characters relevant vs them not appearing for so long that their pull value diminishes overtime and get power creeped with new releases 🤔

As for the crocicals banner I think they'll remove the fate point sistem in HSR and the fact that standard characters are in there also I don't think it's a bad thing since they don't have pity and some of their eidolons can make them pretty good

A tweaked for hsr chronicled wish would be lueges better I doubt they’d keep all of the annoyances it had but at the end of the day it doesn’t have to be complicated just add a third banner
isn't it a little too early for HSR to implement this? I mean, there are just so little 5^ characters compared to HI3, who's been around the market for a long time, so chances of newer players wanting to get some limited characters in HI3 is higher. But in HSR's case, since the game is still relatively new, and there are quite a lot of day 1 players, it's not going to take too long before players start complaining about this or that character being featured in banners again. Also, another question is, if the limited characters get featured in this new banner system, does that mean they won't be rerunning again in rerun banners anymore? coz imagine Silverwolf appearing in this new banner system, then be featured again as a rerun limited character just 2/3 patches. And it is also pointed out in this video that the characters in this new banner system might not change throughout the entire patch... so... will people actually still pull? Won't that result in loss of profit for those who actually spend money? I have so many questions. haha

To me, the chronicle banner is just any limited banner but better as you can lose 50/50 to a limited character. No difference to me as I always pull only when I have at least 160 pulls for characters and 209 pulls for weapons in Genshin.
Hopefully the similiar triple limited characters banner in HSR works differently in a better way, i.e., no fate point.

Wow first time I've seen a CC advertise a sponsor who's a discount jades vendor. Have heard so many horror stories of people buying from these types of vendors only to later have their accounts banned because the vendor did a chargeback for the purchase (because how else can the vendor make money charging you less money than they have to pay Hoyo?!). Seriously consider your choice of sponsors.
devs need to make money they will probably still implement the 50/50 as long as its the same pull system as hi3

There are so many rerun characters I want and I can barely deal with the new limited character and the existing rerun, SIX or even if it lasts for the whole patch and is three, would be TORTUE
If it’s not the HI3 format I will never touch it and just patiently wait for the proper rerun banner
For me I dont mind having all limited characters banner open 24 hours because in the end No matter what they do If I understand where is my values in pulling I am going to pull simply and that is it.
So basically the same as now, except it's grouped and we have a character more, 3 instead of 2.
I already have avoided all of them, it's hard to save as it is already, they need to throw more Jades before people will use this feature more consistently. Throwing 500 jades for a whole event here and 600 jades for another, total of around 3 to 4 multipulls during a banner gets you nowhere if you want to pull on several banners.
Does pity carry over for the kafka/black swan/robin banner from the limited banner?
Yes pls, this banner system is much much more better for rerun
Honkai Impact 3rd has the best banner system currently out of all HOYO games. While the powercreep is much greater, there is no RNG since Part 2 began. The hard pity is 100 for any limited Valkyrie banner, though realistically you will get them earlier. And you cant lose to a "standard" character, instead there is a Dorm supply with old Valkyries that costs less Crystals, but its not worth it. You get a bunch of Dorm tickets over time anyway.
Though to be efficient, you also want to pull on the gear banner, always. For DPS Valks you want the weapon at least, the guarantee for which is 60 pulls. And all new stigmata, the relic sets of other games specific to each Valk, are craftable.
10 pull is 2800 crystals, which is more than Genshin and HSR, with similar prices for Top-Ups and monthly card. At the same time, Crystals are also much more plentiful, as a veteran player (level 88, 81 being the endgame breakpoint) with an above average account power level, i can easily get enough for 5-6 pulls every week.
So while its expensive, HI3 is also paradoxically the fairest in terms of gacha and also quite generous.
Though if you consider the previous gacha system, it's almost as bad as genshin. Better in terms of RNG, but much more expensive. 100 pulls for the Valkyrie, and like 1.5 times that for gear, since the banners back then had 50 pulls gurantee for the weapon and 3 pieces of stigmata set each. And you usually got a bunch of dupes before getting it all, and the guarantee for the gear didn't follow to the next one. Only the pity for Valkyries stayed.
I think Hsr will follow hi3 banner cuz they share the same name after all .

I don't think GT has pity system, although it has any character selector whenever you reach 300 pulls (any characters instead of standard ones. Or you can choose signature weapon, your choice).

That’s right. they won’t bankrupt and run out of money, if the switch off such shitty system, because all players want all eidolons for all characters , new characters and all level up for lightcone. And if someone wants Standard should go on standard banner, because why it even exits then ?
The genshin system is just pure prdatory BS , no surprise there, the HI system tho, is not only good for the company (getting more sales per patch) but also allows new players and players who missed out on a characters to get it. win win
