Wow you are full of great information today. Thank you. I love your cook stove. It brings back memories of my grandmothers. Great source of heat. Thank you so much for sharing. Take care my friend. See you again soon✌️🇺🇸🥰
Our weather is nuts in Ohio, too. We've only had a few flurries. Yesterday was 18⁰. Today it's 54⁰ and sunny. I just finished scrubbing my stove. 😊 The ceiling fan when the stove is going drives me nuts. All the dust....ugh! Happy cleaning!
always have loved your wood cook stove ♥ my place came with a regular one in the basement and yes the mess is a thing for sure and worth every bit of it! I dream of someday changing it out for something like yours! it's the same as when you move to the country and live on a dirt road.... nobody tells you that your car will never be clean again LOL ...
Hi Jessica, you gave a fine tutorial on your wood cookstove. Your soup was easy, looking mighty tasty and I know all of you enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jessica and sweet family! I know wood stoves can be messy, but I love a wood fire. It just makes the house feel all cozy and welcoming. What a gorgeous sunset, another one of Gods paintings. I would had loved a wood cook stove when I was younger. I just can’t deal with getting wood anymore, I would have to purchase it. I have enjoyed the Souping With Friends collaboration, at least what I’ve seen and hopefully I can catch up next week. My step brother had an aneurysm and I have been the person driving my mom and stepdad wherever they need to go. I also take care of my brother and he has had two doctors appointments this week. I’m just trying to do the best I can for everyone. I hope you and your precious family have a blessed night!
Jessica, I’m glad you’re so down to earth. You’re beautiful. You know beauty always comes from within. My grandma had a wood cook stove. I bought a miniature replica at an antique store because it reminded me of her. Your soup looks delicious!
Hi sweet one! I have wondered how you manage to keep the stove clean! Thanks for explaining it to us! Your soup looked so yummy! Big hugs and many blessings!
I love that you share real life, Jess! ❤ beautiful landscape, but I know it can be treacherous with temp fluctuations. Stay indoors and safe as much as possible. Costco usually sells ice cleats for your shoes, I use those because I'm not very graceful when it comes to walking on ice, lol 😂 Take good care, my friend.😊
Your cook stove looks so great, basically like having an open fire with the mess too. Love it Jessica, The end of another month how quickly they go. thanks for sharing your day.
A few videos back, Aaron was cleaning out the ashes and they were floating around the kitchen. It was unnerving. But that is the only time I have ever seen the kitchen in such disrepair. You do a fine job with your upkeep. Until our next visit….❤Momma G
@@modernhomesteadalaska you make it seem like a doable task. I think of my great grandmother who they say her stove shined and she ran a household with 13 children. Can you imagine?? ❤️🤔
If you cover the. Meat balls in a tiny bit of flour and give them a light tiny bit of a fry with a very little oil in the skillet before you freeze them they will never break up in cooking . ❤
No wood cook stove for me, but lots of cast iron pans. Hubby calls that smoky thing as me " burning the pans". Its just regular maintenance. Lovely to hear about your stove Cleaning/maintaining schedule.
With the wood stove top being so hot, what will you do when grand babies arrive. I was just wondering if wood stove barriers are available. Love the stove though.
I appreciate your videos. I am looking at the Cuistot model. I am intending to put in an off grid cabin.....currently is only 200 square feet, I know this is a lot over sized. The current old parlor stove I have in there only runs for about 3 hours before it is out of wood.
The JA Roby cuisenere is 12” back and I believe sides and front are 16” I believe 18” sides is for Canada. We’re working on trying to decide how to set ours up currently.
Keep in mind it all depends on the make model…… this is why we don’t share the actual clearances on our videos. You could even have an extra state or local government code. But JA Roby does provide online its specifications, so you can plan before you buy. On ours we are well over the clearance because of how we wanted to access the stove so on. It’s a great stove and been a terrific addition to our home.
I have the largest ja Roby on the market. I got it because it was the biggest wood Cookstove I could get at the time. www.jaroby.com/en/produits.php?id=91&cat=15&sec=1

That's a great wood cook stove. Don't forget to stop in next time you are up this way.
Thank you so much friend! Sounds like a plan
I thought that the basement stove? Thank you for all of the information. Blessings to you and your family!! I love your videos.
Doesn't the basement stove heated your house?
Yes! The basement stove is different and much larger fire box.
Yes this one is in my kitchen it heats that area and above.
I can understand that as you get the heat from below to keep the cold from coming through the floor. It makes sense in my mind, thank you.

Oh funny. A wood stove in a kitchen is not for the faint of heart as far as cleaning. It makes a constant mess to clean

Looks amazing Jessica 😊
Thank you so much
we have a saying about the weather here in MAINE if you don`t like the weather wait a minute it will change
Exactly from 40 and melting to 20s and freezing all the water.
Watch for the northern light in the next couple of days
Yes I got a thing saying tonight should be great! Thanks for the heads up
Hello friend !
Hello my beautiful friend
With the wood stove top being so hot, what will you do when grand babies arrive. I was just wondering if wood stove barriers are available. Love the stove though.
Oh well I think we will build a gate around it some day. Not 100% sure as we don’t have any even on the way.
Hi Jessica, could you make a video showing how your oven operates?
Sure I’ll try and incorporate that into the upcoming recordings
I appreciate your videos. I am looking at the Cuistot model. I am intending to put in an off grid cabin.....currently is only 200 square feet, I know this is a lot over sized. The current old parlor stove I have in there only runs for about 3 hours before it is out of wood.

Is the food taste better on the wood-burning stove? Is that really true what they say?
I actually have never heard that until now. The food is no different. You are not getting anything directly from the wood as far as flavor.
The soup looks so so good. Did you add any spices other than salt and pepper?
No that’s crazy for me. Is it not!
Even with the extra work, I love my cookstove. Where did you find your fan? I've been looking for a larger one .
Totally agree wouldn’t give mine up best choice we made in this house
Can you share which model of stove you use, please. Does yours have the water reservoir on the right side?
I'm also interested in knowing if you like the size of oven your model has or do you wish it was larger.
I have the largest ja Roby on the market. I got it because it was the biggest wood Cookstove I could get at the time. www.jaroby.com/en/produits.php?id=91&cat=15&sec=1
It’s the biggest oven I know of. Not going to mislead baking in a wood Cookstove is difficult
Do you remove the round top bits when placing a pot on the stove ?
@@rustydowg no that would let the smoke in. You must have very specific size pants that are made for that to remove the rounds
do you use the oven part on the wood stove? and if so, how is it different than a regular oven?
So much different! The fire needs to be extremely hot the whole time you bake.
As a mom with young kids, a wood burning stove would absolutely terrify me.
I could totally understand that.
