    Our weather is nuts in Ohio, too. We've only had a few flurries. Yesterday was 18⁰. Today it's 54⁰ and sunny. I just finished scrubbing my stove. 😊 The ceiling fan when the stove is going drives me nuts. All the dust....ugh! Happy cleaning!

    always have loved your wood cook stove ♥ my place came with a regular one in the basement and yes the mess is a thing for sure and worth every bit of it! I dream of someday changing it out for something like yours! it's the same as when you move to the country and live on a dirt road.... nobody tells you that your car will never be clean again LOL ...

    Hi Jessica and sweet family! I know wood stoves can be messy, but I love a wood fire. It just makes the house feel all cozy and welcoming.
    What a gorgeous sunset, another one of Gods paintings.
    I would had loved a wood cook stove when I was younger. I just can’t deal with getting wood anymore, I would have to purchase it.
    I have enjoyed the Souping With Friends collaboration, at least what I’ve seen and hopefully I can catch up next week.
    My step brother had an aneurysm and I have been the person driving my mom and stepdad wherever they need to go. I also take care of my brother and he has had two doctors appointments this week. I’m just trying to do the best I can for everyone.
    I hope you and your precious family have a blessed night!

    I love that you share real life, Jess! ❤ beautiful landscape, but I know it can be treacherous with temp fluctuations. Stay indoors and safe as much as possible. Costco usually sells ice cleats for your shoes, I use those because I'm not very graceful when it comes to walking on ice, lol 😂 Take good care, my friend.😊

    I appreciate your videos. I am looking at the Cuistot model. I am intending to put in an off grid cabin.....currently is only 200 square feet, I know this is a lot over sized. The current old parlor stove I have in there only runs for about 3 hours before it is out of wood.

    The JA Roby cuisenere is 12” back and I believe sides and front are 16” I believe 18” sides is for Canada. We’re working on trying to decide how to set ours up currently.

    • @modernhomesteadalaska
      @modernhomesteadalaska  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Keep in mind it all depends on the make model…… this is why we don’t share the actual clearances on our videos. You could even have an extra state or local government code. But JA Roby does provide online its specifications, so you can plan before you buy. On ours we are well over the clearance because of how we wanted to access the stove so on.
      It’s a great stove and been a terrific addition to our home.

    Is the food taste better on the wood-burning stove? Is that really true what they say?

    • @modernhomesteadalaska
      @modernhomesteadalaska  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have never heard that until now. The food is no different. You are not getting anything directly from the wood as far as flavor.
