- This fraud happened to me in March 2021 at Delhi airport when I came back to India from my trip to the United States of America. Watch this video to be alert from such frauds. Every country has its own customs rules so please follow them before you go there.

Its more than that.
I have seen wheelchair assistant people buying liquor using their passengers details with/without permission of passengers.mostly old age people they might not notice how quickly they do.
They pickup passenger from flight and directly take them on wheelchair to liquor store.
They park them few steps far and takes bottles using passport/boarding pass.
After going out there will be some person ready to collect. Store is also involved bcos passenger is nt present over there.and they handing over the items.
I have also heard them talking about target. I did 5/10 today those kind of conversations were happening.
Its part of bigger game. And more about tax fraud i will say.
If someone is asking personal favour to buy for him i will say thats okay. But doing this kind of racket, this is wrong.
This is really shocking. Some ground mem steal the previous things from the luggage too. I had seen video where ground men and cargo handling staff were throwing bag carelessly. In Indian foreign affairs ministry staff also corrupted.
Thank god someone made this video .. we all know behaviour of airport workers in New Delhi airport is soo bad ...

Happened with me in 2019. A man ( told me he is from Delhi police) approached me in Delhi duty free and asked me to purchase liquor using my passport but I was little bit surprised by this action and denied him. After watching your video it seems I am sharing my own experience here.
Good evening Sharma g , this incident happened in July 2020 ,I was working in Iraq , karbala refinery project as Hse supervisor ,due to covid case project has been shutdown that time jv decided to send all indians manpower to delhi airport ,when we reached there one my friend he is same state from Bihar,one of cops approach to them he said to do same as in videos & he promised if he will do such as he allowed to go out side or home without staying in corantine camp or hotel , because that time the guidelines of government except some states u must be corantine in delhi ,he said to me to do such as we denied ,after one day he call me I m at my home ,I surprised that time,

This happened to one of my friend in Thailand Suvarnabhumi airport while returning back to Bangalore. He straight away refused to help them. It’s shocking to see happening even here!! Thanks for sharing this Varun bhai!!
Thanks that you brought it up in your video. Previously when I traveled abroad and while returning back at Delhi Immigration there are people you approaches you to with this type of requests. Always deny them. In one instance the immigration officer told me what is inside my bag? I simply told him to open it if he suspect anything. They also give false threat. Welcome to India (but not all of them are bad!!!)

I faced the same few years ago at Delhi airport. Two custom officials asked me to buy alcohol from duty free but I refused. They insisted me few times but I kept on refusing. Then they did a full scan of my belongings for 15-20 minutes(seems like they were forcing me to buy it... but i kept on refusing). They didn’t found anything in my luggage and then they let me pass.

They can't do that to me...I will always keep my recoding in my phone on....last time I did this and I told I have recording and they let me go after checking....what I keep is voice recording in my phone and I keep my phone in my pocket....it's not illegal for voice recording but visual recoding is...there is loophole in the law

Similar incident happened- one of the AirIndia Airhostess asked me to purchase some items from the shop & she will pay me in INR. Actually she was attending in my flight only back to India.

same in Mumbai , they mark bags with colored chalks if its yellow that means use his passport to buy things but if red/pink that means you will have to pay. They already open bags before hand to check for electronics and valuables.

It's a known problem and it's been happening for long. Not only liquor, they will ask u to buy other items on ur passport.

Also if the liquor bottles are used or found in any illegal situation it's traced back to the owner of the passport.
It's not. only the passport it's ur ticket details that are recorded for purchasing of the liquor.
Even in domestic flights... while buying liquor they ask for ur tickets and boarding pass.
Flyers need to be careful 👍

Delhi Customs के स्टाफ का स्तर इतना निचे तक गिर चुका है सोचा भी नही जा सकता. जिन लोगों पर भारत की रक्षा करने की जिम्मेदारी है वह लोग ही भारत को बेचने पर उतारू है. यह सब सरकार की इच्छा से ही होता है.
हर सरकारी विभाग बिना पैसे के काम करने के लिए बिल्कुल भी तैयार नही.
See how we use our brains for all these nefarious activities...no sooner do you find a loophole our corrupt minds rush in to exploit the situations. It is a very sad story and speaks volumes about our integrity.

This happened to me in Bangalore, when I came back from US... They asked me to buy liquor from duty free shop... I said no and I can't do that... Happens every where..
Does it happen outside India?
Any traveller can buy 2 bottles from duty free with 3 possibilitis -
1 he can consume it himself
2 he can gift it to someone / or help someone to buy it at airport itself
3 he can sell it outside the airport
But there is no fraud involved in this ..

I left my pretty expensive laptop on the plane in the business class cabin. One of the officials very kindly went to the plane and got it sent to baggage claim. I was worried I might cross out of baggage claim and no laptop and can’t go back either but it was there. Thank you dude you’re a legend
Welcome to India! 😂 Many years back, my uncle from USA got stuffs from the side of the baggages stolen.
Some Custom officials spoil the entire reputation of the country and they need to be reported. Airport officials should make it easy to register complaints n follow up through emails if they r serious about rectifying this issue..

The same has happened to me at banglore airport when i was travelling from jordan. As soon as i collected my baggage i could see the airport official asking every single person to collect the liquor from duty free shop. They just used to hand over the money and ask us to buy it for them. This is a biggest scam which is growing in almost all airports in india recently. The most surprising part is, how an international airports can allow these people to do all this kinds of business illegally. We will no more be shocked if they allow terrorists to fly, in and out just for the sake of money:-(

This is surprising.. It's not about just liquor, we should not entertain anything like this. I have seen ppl asking to accommodate a bag during check in, if you have less. This is even worst where custom officers are asking to do . I am wondering how the people outside would know , that you are the one carrying it for them. They send your pic to someone outside or it's a different color bag that they put the bottles into. Thanks for bringing this to our notice. It brings a BAD name to our country's reputation.
Thank for Information, But to inform you duty free doesn't means that its sold without duty. It means that it sold with duty and you are not going to pay any duty on it in any part of the world.

I returned to india from uae in march 2021 ,they did a covid test at arival which cost me 800inr, but i never got the results of that test, i don't know what's wrong going on there but something fishy

These custom officials are the worst corrupt people. There have been various incidents in which they have exploited airline passengers. If I start describing these incidents I will run out of space. I am ashamed of this corruption going on in our country.

Something weird happened with me when I was travelling to Sri Lanka last year. At Sri Lankan Airlines check in counter staff said to me that you have to go through Customs 🛃, I said ok. After check in before immigration staff took me to custom officer room. Custom officer took a brief interview of me and asked about currencies I am carrying. I told him everything after that he allowed me to go.
I am travelling internationally since my childhood this thing happened with me first time. It was a weird experience for me. May be they were checking on smuggling of illegal items.
PRO TIP: Be confident and be truthful. They judge you on basis of your body language.
This is a random check. They randomly select people and call them to ask these questions. I was also called when I was travelling to Italy.

Bahut kuch hota hai Bhaiya Mai kya bolu , India me everywhere corruption hi corruption hai ye baat Mai Kolkata airport me dekha tha , they use my passport for another person for luggage and all other things but that time I was young ..
