That is a beautiful bike selling for $6,000 definitely mint. Some people call it the skunk. I have this same bike in my shed waiting for me to get off my ass and get it back on the road, not mint like this one but still looks good, all original.
Seems the pipes hung in there rather well on the GS range. You see a lot more of the original mufflers on them than others. The Z650 Kawa exhausts also took time to rot out...
@@craigjeffrey3236 the mufflers on the GS 1000 have drain holes on the bottom for water to drain out. I tried to keep the holes cleaned out so any moisture wouldn't lay inside the muffler and rust it out. When a motor is running properly it produces a lot of water that comes out of the exhaust.
That sold for about as much as I spent restoring mine.
