  • I got hold of a load of old minis from storage. Since it's been so long, it was time for a complete overhaul of the colour scheme!
    I now have a very basic Patreon in case you want to support me growing the channel, and Ko-Fi in case you want to send a tip. I appreciate any support, thanks!

    "I hate edge highlighting, but I cannot deny it's efficacy." I feel that quote in my SOUL.

      It's the worst right!? So tedious but you just notice if you haven't done it!

    I love your battle damage and the freehand sigil is such a great touch.

    The battle damage on the boats looks amazaing, really adding to the idea of those galley style hulls crushing through enemy lines.

      Thanks! That was the idea, I just felt like these things move around so fast there's no way things wouldn't be pinging off them the whole time haha

      Yeah I had no idea how it would look either, that's why I had to try it!

    Awesome army and video. I love the dark eldar and have been looking at a similar paint scheme for a different army so this was right up my alley!

    This is perfect, I also 3d printed 90% of the combat patrol box. I just need to print a ravager.

      Very nice! I'd mostly 3d print now but luckily I did have a lot of Drukhari models to pull out.

    Think the weathering on the vehicles looks really great. These guys have obviously had a tough time of it...

    this was such a good video, and gave me some ideas and advice for yellow tau 👀

      Awesome! I was considering using this on my Tau as well, but now I'll find something different cos two yellow armies would get old fast lol

    TENTH EDITION!?!?! Jesus this makes me feel old. I'm still learning the rules to Rogue Trader 😂😂😂
    Also, another cheap method for removing paint from plastic minis is Johnson & Johnson antiseptic

      Yeah last time we played was 5th edition! Which was the best in my opinion 😂

    Is there a reason to not use the airbrush to apply the contrast onto the smaller miniatures?

      I like the properties of it running into the dips. When I use differently coloured pre shades, I like to think of it as creating two different forms of shading. One is a top down leaving shadows where light isn't directly hitting, and the other is the gaps where light wouldn't even bounce back to. It just creates a bit of interest where doing a flat yellow would only take advantage of the first type of shading!

    I'm kinda thinking of doing some Nurgle-corrupted Dark Eldar whenever possible, any tips or advice on how I should go about making a Nurgle aligned Drukhari army or kilteam/squad?

    • @dontthinkjustcharge
      @dontthinkjustcharge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting theme! You can find ways to make rust and verdigris and stuff, and I'd probably lean into the fact they use poisons. Make their weapons look oily and gross! The other thing you don't see often on regular nurgle minis is a kind of wasting look, and the thin drukhari could look really cool with that although I'm not sure right now how you'd get that effect lol.

    • @ChaseDaOrk3767
      @ChaseDaOrk3767 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dontthinkjustcharge Oh ok, perhaps I could make my Nurgle Drukhari look more zombie like while some units being heavily mutated, I could also see some of the species the Dark Eldar (be it Sslyth, Ur-ghul, etc) could also be heavily affected by Nurgle's rot the same of the rest of the Nurgle Drukhari

    Love it looks great. What airbrush do you use?

      It's Voilamart which came as a set with compressor and everything. It's the only one I've used but seems decent for a starting one, although I may upgrade soon just to see what's out there
