Thanks for the video. I was watching one of these on eBay and in the end went direct to Ekster. Looks exactly like what I’ve been after. I love the tracker although I’ve bought a different one from amazon. I actually got a discount from the company but hadn’t spotted your 15% code. I have been looking for an RFID blocking wallet for a while because my card has been read 3 times in a few years and each time you have to convince the bank it’s not you. Last time I bought £150 worth of booze online at a supermarket when I was at work. I was impressed and shocked in particular as I’m very guarded about my bank details. I love the look of the wallet and it does look very high quality. Thanks again for the review. Very impressed with your attention to details. Based in the UK.
I have been following your minimalist wallet reviews, and I had just purchased the Parliament 2.0 that shipped with a Track-R card vs the 3.0 Chipolo. I have really been enjoying it for daily carry. I don't generally carry a lot of bills so I use the strap to hold business travel receipts and my auto insurance card. From reading other reviews, I understand that the leather will mold itself around bills over time if that is part of your daily carry. Thanks for the great review!
Hi Daniel, that's absolutely correct! The leather of the wallet softens as time passes and with usage, so it's unique to you. We're happy to hear you're enjoying your Ekster!
Do you still use this wallet? Im trying to get an idea of how reliable the ejection mechanism is? Im looking at the fanning wallets. Its between the ekster and fantom. Any input on reliability would be great.
@@mbsanocki88 Hi Matt, I do still carry my Ekster. Not getting out as much lately due to the human malware virus, but the wallet works just great. No issues with the ejection mechanism. The only obvious wear is the black finish on the metal ejection button has worn off a bit. The leather has held up very nicely. I had a mediocre experience with the locator cards, but the wallet itself is phenomenal!
That's a pretty cool wallet with some slick functionality. I like that smooth pop out mechanism. Other wallets I've had with a similar function really sucked.
I have heard by other reviewers that the RFID protection is only when the cards are within the card distribution mechanism and not in the side pockets.
That’s true. Obviously the RFID only works when within the aluminum body. Leather doesn’t block it unless it’s embedded with some lesser rfid blocking materials
I have been carrying the ekster parlament wallet for a couple years. I really like it. It does bulk up with cash in it. I just bought the dango m1, can't wait to get it.
Very cool, but I'll stick with my Ridge knockoff for $25. That's a lot of complicated bulk to carry my license and credit cards. The last time I lost my wallet was over 20 years ago. Great review though. Note on your cards that some may be thicker or thinner than yours though.
Yes! You'll be able to fit 5 - 6 cards in the cardholder depending on how many of them are embossed. Congrats on keeping your wallet for that long, by the way! If your luck ever runs out, we'll be around :)
Just another great review chris, far better than any ekster reviews i watched before, i clearly saw the flaws of the wallet thanks! cash will bulge the wallet and thank you for emphasizing it 😁, and the tracker is too thick and sticking out,.. i have a secrid one its great, but yeah , ekster buttery smoother 😄, tile tracker is slimer .
I actually wish the tracker was half this size, and integrated to the outside of the wallet. Just the solar panel would be exposed. Then it would constantly charge when it’s out of your pockets.
Hey, can you try to do an update video on this? I'm curious about this wallet, but a lot of reviews I've seen pertaining to previous versions are showing that the button and mechanism are pretty fragile and break after approximately 2 months. I'm curious how it's worked for you, provided you use it on a regular basis. For $100, plus the cost of the tracker, I'm hoping regularly.
I won’t be doing a video update on it because I honestly haven’t been carrying it. I did for about a month and put it away for other reviews. (I do a lot of wallet review) But for that month it was great. Sorry I can’t help more.
I love Ekster, I started with the Parliament but didn't care for the cover so I bought the senate next and utilize the strap for my ID card as I rarely carry cash (probably a bad habit I need to fix). Bear in mind, however, the RFID only blocks for the cards inside the slot.
I had a chippolo X orbitkey tracker once. Immediately switched back to tile because in order to find your phone, you have to have the app open. Absolutely useless for finding phones.
Just saw your review as I was looking at one of these for a holiday gift. Great review. One question: How easy is it to get a card out that may be in the middle or at the bottom of the stack? I see it was easy to get the top cards, but I couldn’t tell from the video whether it is difficult to get a card that is in the middle, or so you have to pull out all the cards above it first? Also, in putting a card back in the middle of the stack, can you do that, or do you have to put the card back in at the end of the stack? Hope that makes sense. Thanks.
chris ventresca Yes it’s a front pocket carrier. Phone in my left pocket. Wallet in the right. Keys are always the problem. I usually put them with the wallet.
pretty neat but if the cover had a magnet to at least secure it in place, that would be much better, Especially when you took the wallet out of your pocket, the cover won't be flipping around.
@@ChrispyThings yup . Really great design and engineering that has been put through to create an amazing wallet. And really smart to put a tracker card in it. Nobody would’ve taught of that.
Can anyone chime in on carrying this in a back pocket? How is it? Will it be easily damaged from sitting on it? I can’t get used to a front pocket carry but want to upgrade to one of these.
Don’t carry any metal wallet in your back pocket. This is essentially the aluminum card holder underneath the leather. Sitting on it in very uncomfortable, and you could damage the wallet.
I had a secrid a few years back that I really liked, but the inability to carry cash and 5 card limit didn't work for me. Just ordered the ekster so I can carry everything I need
I always see everyone saying "gps tracker". It won't help you find lost wallets unless they are 200 feet or less away from you. Better for finding them in your house and won't help if you leave them somewhere or get them stolen.
It will show the last known location before it left the gps range. So if it’s just “lost” you can still find it regardless how far away you go. If someone steals it however, you’re going to need a lot of luck unless it’s a global gps tracker. I’m well aware of how these work.
@@ChrispyThings yeah I guess it would need an actual network to be global. Not even airtags have that. Didn't know about the last known position thing though so that's cool.
Nope. The tracker is removable and is the only thing on the wallet that needs to be charged. It’s a solar charger. The Innway has the tracker built in so it needs the usb cable to charge it.
This wallet wouldn’t be bad if it weren’t for the constant adds I get everywhere from Ekster because I like wallets. I also think the phrase SMART wallet is incredibly idiotic. The bill fold really needs something to secure it as well because it seems to not shut with any bills or more than 1 card on the inside fold.
Worst wallet I've seen I carry between 400$ and 3000 in my wallet and that wallet would not let me do that its ti small and tbh ya people use Card but that cost a fee cash dont the wallets a waste and the tracker why not just buy insurance

Cool card. Does it work when it is inside the aluminum card holder?
I don’t know. I wouldn’t put it in there because it’s too thick. But I doubt the tracking ability would work surrounded by aluminum.
I think this wallet would be perfect if it had a strap to secure the bifold or some type of snap.
Exactly what I was thinking, idk why the strap is on the inside.

Yeah. That the downside I've seen to it. I feel like the tracker should be built into the wallet.
So all I want to know is how well do the cards hold on the slot when you flip it upside down
They don’t fall out
They don't at all. I have the regular Ekster and I love it
