just saw them live. they were so into it. such an impressive performance. these live on youtube like pressure drop and kexp are great but they were even better in person. and they are wicked fun too. they talked to a bunch of us after the show and took pics with and were just really nice.
I always wondered if the first song's title was a reference to the joke where a guy asks a genie to build him a bridge to Hawaii. Genie says it's impossible. The guy then asks the genie to teach him how to understand women. Genie asks him if he wants the bridge to be 2 or 4 lane.
they did. I just have another word in my name..and we are really a joke band and only play shows at my house. Im done with the packing up and setting up on stage shit :P
I clicked on this because I like to discover bands I'm not familiar with. But they just don't sound that good to me. It sounds like an average garage band. No offense.
This is a really stupid thing to argue over haha I was only pointing out that there both wearing Miley shirts. Maybe it was a joke, cool, or maybe there just on board with the pop-culture icon she has become. Either way, it's there life and they can like whatever they wish, I was only pointing out the obvious. Its the music I came for. But since you know them so personally and there humor you must know it was a joke... forgive me, I just know she's the cool thing right now, good girl gone bad, and lots of people are all for her. So I just assumed they must be as well since they were wearing her shirts, my bad, I shouldn't assume things.
Hayden Reed Sorry, man :)) i don't even know why i got into the argument in the first place. My bad, i don't know them, i just asumed something too and became a bit of an asshole with no intention whatsoever. Cheers!
love how the lead singer has the setlist written on her hand
This music will put you into a dangerously good mood.
I like the way Emily says "Yes!"

I still remember when I first saw this when it came out
Oh boy, that sweet thing as the drummer.
One of those bands who, for whatever reason, sound better _live_ than on their records.
And yeah, that _drummer. . ._
TacocaT is the best !! Thank you KEXP !!
belinda caryle!!
build a bridge to hawaii has to be one of the best songs ive heard. so good to see new music with that old flavor.
I was thinking the same as well. Her singing reminds me of early Go-Gos
Hoooooly crap this band rocks!
I like to be happy and have fun, too, Tacocat!
they sound great live!
they make me so happy
Wimps, Tacocat, La Luz, Chastity Belt, good things happening in Seattle these days
+Political troll you're not on Hardly Art's payroll are you?? Cheers!
Yeaaah man, it's really good see that these new bands are growing and freeing Seatle from this stuck grunge scenario
Seattle is a great place to nurture bands. L7 got better treatment in Seattle than LA.
This comment didn't age well...
AWESOME songs.
I just discovered Tacocat. I love them!!
awesome totally like it!
Punk lives!
these guys are pretty damn cool
Fantastic stuff. Thanks KEXP!
I love this band!
What a great vibe this band has
Good show! Come to the Netherlands please..
8:21 she has line-up in her hand :D specially for this show :)
so great
Holy shit the Hosts eyes are gonna fucking pop out!
I love tacocat
Wish they had this version of bridge to hawaii on itunes.
This is so sweet :)
they sound so good live lol
They're all great but the drummer is the star of this video
1:51 how she catches the beat
Whoah, they're fooking good.
Radical tunes, radical band name.
yesss
Nice, reminds me of Allison Wolfde / Bratmobile. Going to order right NOW :p

Damn I'm in love with Lelah!
they remind me of Cub.
They all rock. It's funny how sometimes whoever is video recording the performance gets fixated on one performer of another.
reminds me of Salem 66
Fuck Yeah!!!!
reminds me of Salem 66 only a hell of a lot better.
left palm says...?
this is pretty good. but I feel so like a copycat :/ I got a band with like 14 members...(not all play at once) but my band is called tacocat friday
Who had the name first
they did. I just have another word in my name..and we are really a joke band and only play shows at my house. Im done with the packing up and setting up on stage shit :P
what are you guys an orchestra lol
too bad she has to harmonize with that tone-deaf dude.
😂😂😂

See them live! Much different . These ladies are so fun on stage.
LittleLulubee I saw them live. They weren't great. It is was pretty average nu surf rock. Really cute band members helps their case I think.
Powerpuff Girls!
Why are half of the band members wearing shirts featuring Miley Cyrus?
To be "ironic"?
LittleLulubee haha
yeah. vivian girls. sad really.
Y0u know you see a band called VEXX...and wonder why bands like this even bother...don't get it
fun music! boring personalities.
I HATE THE WEEKEND LOL
The drummer and the dude on guitar are both wearing Miley Cyrus shirts, lame! Good band, with good vibes though!
Don't you think that's a joke? Like what the fuck, man?
Its probably not a joke but if it is a joke, it didn't make me laugh.
No no, you're right, it's not a joke, i bet they're huge Miley Cyrus fans...

This is some poorly executed fake surf rock. I'll pass this time
Yeah, pop-ish, and the singer is kinda out of tune sometimes, but the recordings are perfect for a lazy sunny day.
MrSatanochio Yeah I was kind of harsh in retrospect. I was just expecting something different.
Kenji Hobbs I don't know what you'd expect from a band named, "Tacocat."
it's not surf rock. It's riot grrrl. It's a west coast derivative of punk.
Just feminist garbage. Disliked!
All noise and no real melody.
They're all great but the drummer is the star of this video
Yes, she's hot despite her smiley pants.
In spite of?????
I really like the guitarist too. (Is he playing a Gibson SG Classic from early '60s?)
Great chops
