    Seems like a pretty accurate assessment to me. North sea oil and gas production will continue to decline. No desire to bring back coal. Ageing nuclear plants will continue to shut down largely without replacement. If I lived in the UK, I would be looking for an exit door. Only problem is most of the countries nearby are not in much better shape.

    How will floating solar fit into this, consodering the water can help cool the panels and extend life. Which is a major problem that is contributing to the unfeasability of current renewables

    A sobering, realistic assessment of U.K. energy policy and status. It is unsustainable, will collapse. ' Not one city can run totally on renewable energy, it would have happened already' .
