I just started this game a week ago and I'm enjoying it.
Just don't believe IGN if it's asking for a rpg games, IGN mostly care about fps games, they don't really spent time on games like this, played for a minute or hours then review is just come out badly
Honestly... The one thing I wish they'd done was expand the character customization. Something like the ability to unlock character outfits if you raised affinity with them high enough and unlocked the ability to use their weapon with high enough affinity.
A great review that isnt either hating the game because its anime (ign) or completely gushing over it because you are a sao fanboy. Also nice to hear good things about sao arc 2 and season 2!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who enjoyed this game. Yeah it can be repetitive at times but lots of games are. Wish it had english dub but I find myself still immersed in the game. Finding new weapons, flying around, its pretty great.

The reasons why today’s Anime games don’t have English voices now because Bandai dropped out the R1 anime distribution industry years ago, which is where they pulled in most of their voices for the video games division. Today they only dub the games that are expected to pull in a large amount of profit like anything from the Tales franchise.

Just played the opening bit on Hollow Realization. And the Characters did a fantastic job selling you on how good the story is im picking up last song and fatal Bullet on payday. This Franchise has a cool premise it reminds me of reboot.I always was intertrested in playing it for a while but thought it was actually an only game so I didnt. As soon as I found out what this was I hopped all over it. Dragon Quest and Xenoblade are 1and 2 for my favorite Rpg Franchise, So I'm not expecting them to be dethroned anytime soon, But Ys and Sword Art Online can battle it out for my 3rd All-time spot.

+GamingVlogNetwork haha I see, that's odd coming from you, but yeah, I only played Xilia and now Zestiria. If you love anime then you will love the game.
+GamingVlogNetwork Tales games are pretty easy to get into, since every game is standalone.
- If you have a PS3, I highly suggest you get Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (It's basically 2 games in one), as it's considered a good entry point into Tales games, and there are also Xillia 1 and 2, with Xillia being a good start for a newcomer, but it's not one of the best games in the series, and Zestiria, the newest installment on PS3, PS4 and PC. There's Graces F, but stay away from that.
- If you have a Vita, you can get Hearts R, as it has one of the most engaging battle systems I've played.
- And as for 3DS, you can get Tales of the Abyss, as it's also a very good starting point for a newcomer in Tales games.
- Lastly, if you have an Xbox 360 (or whenever it becomes compatible for One), there's Tales of Vesperia, also considered one of the best entries in the franchise.
Tales games in general are action RPG's with a big focus on the story and characters' development, and if you're a fan of anime, you'll most likely enjoy them, as they're very close to an anime in video game form.
So, my suggestion is that you start with either Abyss (One of the best stories I've experienced in any medium), Symphonia Chronicles (Very lovable cast of characters and a wonderful story.), or Vesperia. Hope you enjoy. ^^
Sorry, does anyone here know if the ps3 version in Japanese is subbed in english and if compatible with European ps3? Thanks, I'm trying to find news about it but I just can't seem to find out
+GreenProStyle95 I believe only the asian Chinese version had subtitles although they're different from the version I reviewed. I don't think this game had any region lock so you should be fine.

Trippy Games no, After playing, The combat is too slow, You level up like snail, And although you get to play as other characters, That still wasn’t enough for me to continue playing.
I did get hollow realization and I like it much better than lost song.
But that’s just me

+ShadowDragonSlayer146 I was one if the fee that enjoyed it outside of Kirito being treated as a female character in arc 1 of season 2. The action in arc 1 was cool and arc 2 focused more on Asunas and emotional themes.

It's too bad they didn't bring this to the 3DS. I think it would fit great on the 3DS even with a slight graphical downgrade. I traded in my Vita because I am not a huge JRPG fan, but I have to say Sword Art Online looks like a great one. Maybe I was too quick to trade it in for a 3DS, but I am enjoying the 3DS so I guess it's cool. Oh well like they say live and learn.

Japan is a country of console gaming peasants. Although pc games are released, apart from AAA titles like dark souls, most pc games are visual novels and danmaku shooters. I have both a pc and a ps4 so it's fine by me. These games are very unlikely to get a pc port, so don't expect too much.
