Mimi I order all my native spices and fish and all sorts of things that will enhance your dish in a native way I order from MySasun African store. Definitely do not want to miss the dried fish or the native spices when making your soup and by the way well done.
I literally just found their website a few days ago. So glad I found it
I love how u are open to all foods , I learnt to steam the yam then beat it , Much much easier
Mimi, this is something different. Nothing but love for you.

Cook the egusi with a lil water then transfer to the onions and palm oil before adding the tomato stew to keep the egusi consistency lovely looks good though

Egusi is a Melon seed. The melon itself can resemble a small round watermelon

DC here, I love to see you try new recipes MiMi. I've never had Egusi or Fufu, I'm 70 and have Acid Reflux real bad so spicey foods tear my stomach up. I love peppers I can only eat a little Jalapeños now for heat and spice. Jvaun your eating partner, I knew he would enjoy it😋❤🔥👍🏾❤

Looks delicious 😋 great job 👍🏾❤❤
It took me a year before i learned how to make a decent egusi now i make efo riro egg sauce pepper soup jollof nigerian stew and nigerian fried rice close to a nigerian. Im waiting for my african husband mom to get here to teach me gbegeri ewedu moin moin ogbono ewa agoyin and okra
Juicy has a sophisticated palette.
For the meat do assorted beef with cow foot, beef, Detroit, beef, skin and beef meat and with the goosy put a tiny bit of water in the middle make little tiny bowls, like dumpling and put it in there. If you stir it and manipulated, it will become separated, but I like mine separated, not involves or clumps awesome job.❤❤❤
I'm proud of you as an African woman.
It is so iconic when Mimi cuts an onion 🧅
Yes, it's supposed to break up. You did good. 👍
I love this.
I always love your nails so dope 💕
I can cook but she’s taught me a lot over the years… lol I be like lovely Mimi taught me that 😊😂
17:02 looks like an Indian chicken Korma but I bet the spice tolerance on this is deadly 😂😂.
A korma is probably the mildest Indian curry that I know because they use a lot of coconut juice.
Bon appetite.
You did really good, I'd be scared to cook this so you go girl.
yesss Mimi you are doing so great i am an african my self and i cant even make fufu
Hey Mimi, try making Hog Head Cheese. I dare you.😂😂😂
when the hell did your son start sounding like a grown ass man?!! And that food looks bomb!
Looks delicious ❤
It looks amazing. 💋❤️💯
Mimi chop that meat 🍖 girl yesss chop chop 😂😂😂😂😂great job
Yes that is the best chicken broth I love it it’s good on a lot of stuff your a great mom
Some humans how is she gonna cut that chicken whit those nails…
Bam bam Bam bam😂❤😂
I use a potato peeler to peel the yam, as we use this in Caribbean cooking too ❤
I’m really impressed with her handling of the protein she did bomb on that. She cooks clean. Go Mimi!
Her husband is one lucky man!
I saw the tittle and thought it was a mistake 🥹🫢but no she did it … as an African and Cameroonian I love Nigerian culture ❤…thanks for accepting all cultures and especially for the efforts you put in it .. thought the cooking of this egusi wasn’t perfect 😂…
This is my favorite soup!!!! Egusi is so good!
Looked tasty 😊
Wow am so proud of you beautiful sister keep being amazing sis
Good job, Mimi 👍🏽❤️
So much for sharing that looks so good long as it is edible if it is, I’m sure you made it the way it was supposed to be and it’s spicy the way you like it so you did a good job how do you notice it? It ❤❤that’s yummy. Thank you for sharing. Smooches. Give the kids a hug for me.
Egusi are pumpkin seeds
😊 no it’s an egusi melon grown n hot climates … they say it’s like small white watermelon 🤷🏽♀️but pumpkin does make great egusi too.
You did your thing ❤
I love egusi soup! My mother in-law showed me how to make it, but I noticed every time she made it she would add something different. 🙄
mimi I think u need a bigger stock pot like 20or 30qt stainless steel stock pot that way more room for cooking broth veg whatever so yummy
Excellent meal thumbs up-👍
I want to try this so bad
I just love MiMi💙
lovely family
I’ve been wanting to make this for sooo long but been scared to mess it up. I think you may have forgot the tomatoes, however it do looks good.
The Egusi is the soup…. The fufu is the dough. The seed Egusi is made with is pumpkin/melon seeds! It yours looks good for a first timer…. I wanted to eat some myself ❤
Why pigs feet and fish in the same dish though!?! I don’t eat fish or pork so yeah but I like watching you cook mimi haha. 👏❤️
Yes girl first time looks good usually first times dont come out exactly the same but you will het it. Its a long process dont rhink i can make it but been wanting to try it
If you can’t find dried fish u can use sardines my x used to use them he’s from Gambia
