Great explanation. I REALLY like your use of the camera place above the club. and grip as opposed to 99% of the videos setting up the camera on the opposite side of the ball looking back at the club/grip. I mean, your way is the way we are looking down at the grip. Seems like a no brainer but you’re one of the few who figured it out. Thanks.
when I search weak vs strong grip, didn't expect much to get such a clear answer from a low thumb up clip. Great explanation especially with only 1 hand: ) many thanks
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. I'd be happy to post something on the right hand. Do you have a specific question that I can answer? When your right hand is strong on the club, you'll end up shutting/closing the club face on the way back. When your right hand is weak, you'll open it up. Need to find that sweet spot!
Hi I am right handed with everything I do but when playing golf I’m left handed i have struggled with slicing The ball and don’t get much distance out if my irons I’m a strongly built person . Is there any advice you could give to even help just for any small improvement
Increasing your swing speed will help you hit the ball further assuming you're making solid ball contact. Having a slice will generally take distance off your shots. Try working to hit more of a draw with your shots, the ball will naturally go further as a result of hitting a draw. To start hitting draw's, start with a stronger grip to help turn the club over through impact (so do the opposite of what this video teaches for a right handed golfer)! Hope this is a good start, always happy to provide some feedback via a swing analysis. Cheers!
isn't that just 50% of the grip? whats the effect of the right hand, when is it strong, and when is it weak? No wonder why this simple concept is so confusing...
Thanks for the comment! I guess I'm a little confused on what you mean by just 50% of the grip? Can you please elaborate so I can better explain, thanks!
@@mariorussogolf aren't you describing the position of only the left hand on the grip? How about the other hand? Don't you need two hands to hold the club and both hands are what makes the entire grip.
@@markio2010 Thanks for the comment once again! Yes, in this video I break down what each hand does. Yes, you need both hands to complete the grip. Check out the 10-video series I put together that talks about what the perfect grip looks like with both hands on the club. It's located on my channel under playlists or you can find the first video here - enjoy! th-cam.com/video/kbBvCnVQjwQ/w-d-xo.html
