- 🎥 IN THIS EPISODE → Join us for a Vanlife trip to the Smoky Mountains Wears Valley. Starting off we boondocked just outside of the Smokies. Made a quick stop at Smoky Mountain Knife Works for Mike's birthday gifts. Then on to Heavenly Roast Coffee in Wears Valley and to Elvira's Cafe for lunch.

Happy birthday Mike!! We always love eating at Cracker Barrel!! I worked for them 7 years and never got tired of eating there. Especially for breakfast. We went to Grandmother’s kitchen a couple of years ago for lunch. We were excited bc of the name. We thought we would get home cooking. Instead everything tasted like they took it out of a can and popped it in the microwave. We were very disappointed.

Mike i know you're not from the south, and never had chocolate coca cola cake! And theirs is really good too! Not as good as my mamas but pretty good! Sometimes i do a to go order from our local cracker barrel just for a piece of this cake! You gotta love chocolate, and it's very sweet! Eat it warm, and its heavenly!

Grandmothers Kitchen has been for sale so maybe someone bought it but has not opened yet?????? we were there last month and it was not opened...but we like eating there and Elvira's , their food is really good and they used to put on your receipt a %10 discount if you come back... also Mountain Brothers is always a must for us too, we always find something to buy there... also have had coffee at Heavenly Roast and it was delicious... we will be coming next week for our 46 th wedding anniversary and staying in a cabin up in the Homestead in Wears Valley... Hoping to see you guys out and about ...

Y'all were just about in my backyard by a couple of miles. Alvira's is a good place to eat, have not been in a few years but I do like the biscuits and gravy. So glad you come around this area as much as you do. I love this area, been home for 45 years. God Bless!

I’ve had the Coke cola cake. It was MUCH better years ago when they first started it. I used to work at Cracker Barrel and it has changed A LOT!!! and not for the better ☹️

Did you try the Coca Cola cake? If not you really should. It is the bomb!! The coca cola flavor in the cake just adds something unmatched in any other chocolate cake. And the frosting is like the best fudge you have ever had. Give it a try. I don't think you will regret it!
