This game is one where it feels like what's there is a great base but even after the dlc its missing some stuff. Especially the rush and target golf modes, they really needed more courses just seeing how much empty space there is on their menus reminds me how disappointing they ultimately are cause they are fun modes in themselves. There's also the lack of that Mario universe feeling in most of the courses like you mentioned. Now im not a golf expert or even a Mario golf veteran, but I think this game while enjoyable just needed more time to cook. But shoutouts to everyone's golf drip though, as well as tan Daisy supremacy.
Couldn’t agree more, I think if the game had even just 6 months to a year of straight development time so they can cook something up, it’d probably feel like a more Mario feeling game. Also I love everyone’s golf outfits as well lol. Tan Daisy is something they need to put in more games!
I really like battle golf but there’s only two maps and they both look exactly the same. Speed golf I would like a lot more if it didn’t matter how many times you hit the ball. That kind of kills it for me. I would’ve much preferred it just being a race to get your ball in the hole first And how many times you hit the ball didn’t matter. Also how come you can’t play the Snow version of Bowser‘s castle outside of story mode. Speaking of the story mode, it’s really weird. I really appreciate the hub worlds, they’re way better than a world map. Unfortunately a story mode feels unfinished. During the last quarter of the game, they throw a bunch of lore at you and you have to start fighting a bunch of gods and shit. All of the boss fights happen at the end of the game. There are also some really weird difficulty curves. In the story mode there’s also a thing called cross country golf and you play a game of that but for some reason there’s no mode for that outside of the story mode. It feels like the game was rushed and it needed more time in the oven. If you’re playing with CPUs, you can’t even change their difficulty
This game could’ve been so good if it had just a little bit more time to cook. Also fighting all these gods sounds so random for a fucking Mario game lol
@ at least it’s not Mario strikers battle league. That game is just embarrassing. That game is $60 when it should’ve been a $10 eshop game at the most. No story mode, one map with just multiple aesthetic changes, Bowser Jr and Daisy weren’t there at launch, like come on
Once you unlock the 3 star clubs you can make multiple curves and it makes the game a lot different most people just play with the standard clubs and don’t get the full experience I love this game. I love all the Mario golf games. This one is does make it easier for children but is still enjoyable
@@dominicwilliams5999 I’m glad you enjoyed the game! I really enjoyed playing this with a few friends so I did have some good experiences sometimes but I had some issues with it as you can tell lol
