I really love the red glitches as a stand-in for fire, as it feels more natural for a "haunted" game rather than having full textures all of the sudden. More games and pastas should use it.
This is really good. The biblical themes with the star being the forbidden fruit, none of the deaths actually being shown with the brutality being saved for the final scene, and the narrative with all the characters being plucked off while looking for Mario is really interesting. The glitches are really well executed, and the timing on the final scene with the music being interrupted at the perfect time. This is either some kind of sequel (Original is Mario being possesed and this one is possesed Mario dragging the others to hell) or a new story entirely. Mario being depicted as god here is really interesting. And oh boy, is it good. 10/10.
I kinda like the idea of MARIO WORLD and SUPER WORLD being connected as each video could explain the absence of either Mario or his friends in the other. With someone else thinking that the evil Mario of this video is connected to the evil Luigi in the original, maybe the latter separated the real one from the others so he can deal with him while his "brother" deals with them.
The original was ironically hilarious, with the overabundance of earrape for cheap scares. This here, this doesn't use any earrape, but rather makes use of more animated glitching instead of single color, still-frame visual effects. It loses that comedy factor, and manages to gain back that shock factor, especially by that ending that is probably a parallel to the Bible. Oh yeah, and if the Mario here is Mario.msi, does that mean that the Luigi from the original is Luigi.msi?

Great work! I really enjoy the use of datamoshing and artifacting in this piece! Going heavy on the glitchy nature of the game helps to drive the eeriness and spook factor. Nice incorporation of Revelation too!
