I only saw these types of crowd in videos and did not and would not believe it was real. When I eventually did, it was unreal. I cannot help but sing along with them. And to think that I was not really familiar with the songs. The energy of the whole crowd just pushes you to sing at your loudest. btw, the caption in the Lany video said "Another singer who attended the concert of the Pinoys."

I got shookt when I saw Bobby from iKON (the first video you reacted) hahaha. That was held in Araneta Coliseum last 23Sep2022. It was a music festival were 3 artists (1 solo and 2 groups) performed. So there are 3 different fandoms there but the crowd was like I’m not an even an iKONIC but I KNOW THIS SONG.

This kind of crowd is what filipino really missed during pandemic times. Then when shows and concerts were already available, I went to some of it and It was really a blast as expected, you'll be hook up or LSS after few days or upto until a months to a year for real 😅
In the early 2000s, 02 or 03(?) my friends and I were introduced to Korean entertainment through the music video "Because I'm a girl" by Kiss. The music video got us hooked, but then came the killer movie that sealed the deal. My Sassy Girl (2001), this movie was it, and the music that came with it "I believe" had a Filipino version, it was that good. The hunger for Korean entertainment in us older Millennial Filipinos probably started this way. I don't believe the generation before us consumed any kpop or kdrama. So yeah, if you want to explore the beginning, those three medias are a good starting point, at least from my perspective as a "I loved Korean stuff way before you Big Bang and PSY horse dancers" consumer.

Actually the majority of Filipinos are really not that Big Fan of K-Pop. Filipino just want to support their friends, family, love ones that if there is a concert they will join and support them by coming along..
I think Filipinos love pop music and mainstream music because Filipinos are happy people, we love songs the makes us feel nostalgic.

We know K-Pop ever since it become world wide because we support Sandra Park our fellow PH citizens who's K-pop star a member of girl group named 2ne1. By that time the famous K-pop groups are 2ne1, WonderGirls, Bigbang, Super Junior, EXO then Blackpink. Also PSY, so yeah I think we Filipinos vibes the K-pop first.
In korea once the singer started to sing the fans is quiet.

beg to disagree. I am an 80 and 90s music lover, esp classic rock and 90's RnB, BUT I AM also a huge EXO ( Kpop's vocal kings) fan and they are arguably on par with Jodeci, Shai, silk , etc. There are still Kpop artists who make non cookie cutter music that are on the same level as the ones we used to listen to in the 90's.
It's different for me.. I got influenced by my sister and she like old songs and such but I get to like kpop as well 🤷🏻♀️
