Thanks for watching my video. I gathered all the videos I shot at this concert in a TH-cam playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLwdc0qZNx0tYEWAOh_di0un8-eaAuuMqI.html . The songs are Save This Heart, Friend And A Friend, Million Miles, Good Enough, Zero (Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover), Make My Mind Up, White Freightliner Blues (Townes Van Zandt cover), Messed With My Mind, Light Came In, and Standing On The Moon (Grateful Dead cover). Enjoy!
Anyone else notice Molly's brother Sully playing guitar and Molly's spiritual little sister AJ Lee playing mandolin and also singing vocals there as well?....It's always a very special treat to see them all re-united on stage together again!
Yep! You have a good eye. I put all that in the video description, but for reasons that are beyond me, TH-cam now hides that content by default and you have to know where to look for it.
I remember seeing and hearing Molly first play publicly with her father (and A.J.) when she was about 15 years old. I was an avid attendee of the the Redwood Bluegrass Associates concerts in Mountain View, CA. where the Tuttle family (and A.J) played several times over the years. Molly has blossomed into one of the finest guitarists and singers I have had the good fortune to see evolve from her early beginnings.
Only a northern California gal could appreciate the reverence required to sing this song.... But this is Molly Tuttle and AJ Lee...... Greetings from Dublin Ireland brothers and sisters ....
Good point, the song writing heritage of SF and the Bay Area is quite special. As a SF native I enjoyed the magic in the 65-75 calendar years and like most realized how special it was when it was happening. Great to see the torch still burning bright.
Who the hell would come here and give this a thumbs down..,take a look at yourself. Gorgeous performance from the best of today’s brilliant emerging artists..
I was at this show. Not the first time I had seen Molly but a special concert. The whole thing had the vibe of welcoming a hometown girl back home. Great concert.
I so enjoy the music these young people make. i have followed AJ and The tuttles since they were all kids. what a joy and talent they bring to this world.
Molly played this as her encore the other night in Boston. So lovely and so apt! Guess the folks at the Soundry in Maryland got to hear her play it on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Thanks for sharing.
A very tasty choice! This is a beautiful cover of one of my personal favorite Grateful Dead tunes. I always loved this song. I'm so glad to see someone take it up and keep this song happening.
Nice vid, and a great write up. I think this is her 2nd performance of the song, the 1st being the night before in Bakersfield at the Buck Owens venue. Thanks. This has potential & will fill the encore slot to replace "Helpless" nicely.
Perfect choice by Molly Tuttle for what Hunter/Garcia song to cover. She is perhaps still too young to get fully inside the tune, but she will grow into it and might totally own it one day. wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag
Woo-hooh (~)8=7 Somewhere in heaven, AJ & Mo, Dat Phat Man is Smiling down on you ! ! ! THANX FOR THE SWEETNESS and if dreams could come true ~ from you two to William Apostol's ears ! so that he joins you & his fingers can't help but do what they do(~)}=p & all the best on your upcomin' world travels too
I never understood the Grateful Dead obsession. I saw then once, the weekend of the first Atlanta Pop Festival, in Piedmont Park, a free concert. I love her rendition but every rendition on You Tube done by the Dead is musically crap!
I was surprised by all the chatter that night. Sold-out show. Hometown crowd for Molly. But I've seen this several times now at this venue. On a Saturday night like this, with tickets just $20, you have people showing up with no clue who the performers are and who just treat them as background music for their conversations. It's really a shame.
WOE, @mbsnyderc These are the farthest thing from silly lyrics. The song is about an Old Woman, Thinking back on her long life. Missing her long departed Love, who she would rather be with... She is "Standing (As IF) on the moon" Looking at everything from "an-ABOVE -IT-ALL" place, where she feels the old urges, The metaphor: "There Is A rebel Flag Beside Me Someone planted long ago", means that When she was a young, She & her dearly departed were Patriots. rebels in the struggle Against the Vietnam war. "Old Glory standing Stiffly Crimson, White & Indigo" = Red White & Blue !! She is having all these thoughts as she sees how history repeats itself: "...soldiers come & go" please look at the world that we have now and please vote for Human Rights & freedom not a lying wanna-be dictator
@@agnome1176 I won't comment on your interpretation of the lyrics since they can be interpreted any way someone wants to, other than to say its "metal flag" not "rebel flag". But yes, by all means vote for Human Rights. And by that I mean the Human Right to free speech, and the right to freely exercize one's religion both inside and outside the doors of a house of worship. And let's not forget the Human Right to not be compelled by the government to do things that are opposed to our deeply held religious beliefs. Also the Human Right to defend yourself, your family and your property by any means necessary including the use of firearms. How about the most precious Human Right of all, the right to be born? Please don't forget to vote for that! I could go on and on but I'll leave it at that.

Every time Molly covers a dead song she kills it! A great listen.

This lady never stops surprising me.. her abilities, her talent and her versatility. Wonderful song.. I love it.
One of the best 'Dead covers I've ever heard. Jerry would be smiling
I’ve seen 300+ Dead shows (72-95) and been fortunate enough to see Molly perform 5 times. It warms my heart to see and hear this.
Wow! Molly and AJ Lee doing Standing on the Moon. Sully Tuttle playing another guitar. Love it.

Makes me believe there's hope for the future.
Only a northern California gal could appreciate the reverence required to sing this song....
But this is Molly Tuttle and AJ Lee......
Greetings from Dublin Ireland brothers and sisters ....
I been covering it for years.
Good point, the song writing heritage of SF and the Bay Area is quite special. As a SF native I enjoyed the magic in the 65-75 calendar years and like most realized how special it was when it was happening. Great to see the torch still burning bright.
Reverence is the right word. Thanks for that.

I first stumbled across Molly in guitar searches. But wow. Voice of an angel. A true artist in many ways. Thanks!
if you haven't already, check out her cover of Olympia. Molly's take on a Rancid tune. maybe one of the best music vids I've ever seen
This was a gorgeous performance! So timely and moving.
Great praise from one of her inspirations...
I so enjoy the music these young people make. i have followed AJ and The tuttles since they were all kids. what a joy and talent they bring to this world.
Let there be songs to fill the air. Beautiful!
Chills every time I hear this beautiful song.

My two favorite as well!
Molly played this as her encore the other night in Boston. So lovely and so apt! Guess the folks at the Soundry in Maryland got to hear her play it on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Thanks for sharing.
Both girls so beautiful and elegant! Thanks for posting this!
Guitar player is crying just like I do when Molly sings❤❤❤❤❤❤
The guitar player is Molly's younger brother Sully Tuttle
I am now in love with Molly.
Beautiful performance...the best..
Gives me goosebumps 💙❤️💜🧡thanks for posting 🙏🙏🙏😍We heard Molly play this during sound check at Caffe Lena last summer,So happy to hear again.
Jerry would be proud of this rendition of one of his many moving songs. but Molly Tuttle and AJ Lee made this one their own. Thanks!
Molly is great and the band here played that so well. Loved it.
Thanks for the vids, that was one sweet show.
AJ @ 3:00... I keep coming back to this beautiful piece. Molly , AJ & Friends captured it here.

Wow. As beautiful as when Jerry sang it. Wow again.
Have loved watching you all grow. This is so moving.
i cried.
Her smile when her brother walks on stage is just the sweetest thing. Just saying....
Heavenly

I'd love to hear both!!!
Nice!
💟
I'm right there with yew. On tha moon.
@ 3:15: Molly directs and produces as she sings and plays, all while she plans her next grocery list in her mind.
My poor heart.
Perfect choice by Molly Tuttle for what Hunter/Garcia song to cover. She is perhaps still too young to get fully inside the tune, but she will grow into it and might totally own it one day. wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag wag

jerry is smiling in his grave, for sure. thanks molly!

People are taking during this. For fuck's sake.

I keep asking myself-----------How can Mrs. Tuttle and I be married when she doesn't even know? It's starting to feel awkward..................
Molly and AJ sound great ,but this is not my kinda song i don't like silly lyrics.
What in the world are you talking about?
silly comment... a classic Grateful Dead song... one of Jerry's best vocal recordings on their final album...
WOE, @mbsnyderc

please look at the world that we have now
and please vote for Human Rights & freedom not a lying wanna-be dictator
They are not doing songs specifically to please you. Doesn't matter how many years you've been watching them on youtube.
@@agnome1176 I won't comment on your interpretation of the lyrics since they can be interpreted any way someone wants to, other than to say its "metal flag" not "rebel flag".
