Loved seeing a peek into the area, it's gorgeous, and enjoyed the drone shots. If you want to improve your salmon fishing, learn touch and go casting, it's far more subtle and efficient. Having quiet casts is always important, but even more so when its low and clear (what I think you have here) 👍
Greetings from Ireland🇮🇪. Your setup is very similar to the one i use only i have a 12' Cross s1 and use a Gaelforce ESSS 8/9 30 grams and a Loop 3W reel. Here we tend not to retrieve the line but let the fly swing. The Blue Charm is a real favourite also. Some great editing and beautiful scenery thanks for posting.
Hi again thanks for the map information. Doing my Homework. The Kingrass got my attention and sold on. Love to hike. Can you pass on information on inns to stay anything above the Hatchery. I am looking at Normaway Inn right now. But rather be farther north on the river. Thanks again for any information.
@@NSFA what would fishing be like without our doggos? Actually I know what it's like, lost my chocolate lab last year, so seeing the pup was a tender moment for me. cherish that pup - I can tell you do. Would love to fish with yourself, a fellow spey addict . . . maybe tighten up that cast a little bit, just a few tweaks so you're single speying and quieting down a bit. That said, wonderful show, watched it all the way through, enjoyed seeing the pup, brought back memories.
Stunning river and scenery. In that clear thin water do you not find the “rip” of the line coming off the water with the circle C or snap T cast spooks the fish? In an upstream wind the single spey is a much “quieter cast.
It is a quiet cast agreeded, being a dynamic roll cast and all. Just so much more fun doing the circle C. I use the single spey about 50% of the time of my casting actually... even on this trip, just didn't use those clips. I show more of it in other Margaree vids over this particular vid.
Hi , enjoy your videos will be up at the Margaree River September 2024 for the first time. So I am learning the river by your videos. Do you know where can I pick up a map of the river . Just to do some homework knowing the pools and location trails and so on. I down in NY. If you can pass some information this way that would be great. All the best. Rich
Good day mate! Tks for watching and glad u enjoy them. More vids coming from this year very soon. 2 addition from my Margaree trips this past Fall as well 😁 You'll enjoy it up here greatly for sure. Salmon numbers are rising and there's also plenty of Brown Trout in the river to switch things up. Here's a link to a local map done up of the pools on the river. Give a shout out if u see Olive and I on the water 🤙 images.app.goo.gl/whv7ApTk63n6678i6
