- These are still underconstruction. I have 4 more days left, no problem!
These are inspired from the fabulous "4 Legged Stilt Costumes - Handmade" on TH-cam by Garen and Melissa - great video. I've probably watched this one 20 times. Also "How to Build and Walk on Stilts" by CricketboyStudios helped me with the stilt construction. There are some great TH-cam tutorials on how to build a foam mask using a balaclava as a base. I used Foam Factory (foambymail.com) and tall adult forearm crutches (make sure you know if they come in pairs or single.)
I train horses for a living...but get the creative urge when October rolls around. There's a number on my back in one clip because I didn't change clothes entirely after competing in a dressage schooling show that morning. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Bird head is great idea
thank you for listing us as your inspiration! we are honored. this is totally awesome! congrats on the awesome costume. it turned out fantastic. i can't wait to see it finished! be careful... you'll get addicted to them. we get ours out all year long just to see peoples reactions, ha ha!
i have always been interested in these stiltwalker costumes, one day i hope i can make one myself.
thank you for posting this this helps alot! im gonna ask my dad to help me make one of these! :)
I love it! I'm working on one of these for halloween, I may even give it articulated claws! Very awesome! Thanks for posting this!
Did you made it in the end? How did it went? I would like to make one too but I’m very new into cosplay :,3
I know which video you are talking about that inspired you - I ran across it a few months prior. Now I've really been wanting to create one of these creatures myself for an art event coming up. What fun it would be to wear the art you create and perform in it to interact with others! Great job on this - I hope to one day share a stilt creature of my own.
gorgeous eyes
You have helped me down my path to building my own awesome stilt-beast. THANK YOU!
How did it go?
Love it, I'm hard of hearing so I couldn't understand anything you were saying over the background music.
Can you list the materials? And where I can get a hold of them?
@starwars2078
thanks! I am calling them stilt walkers. Sometimes when I make big costumes that are bigger than me I call them giant puppets.
Very cool
I hope you are at least the bottom floor apartment. those stilts on carpet would bug thee living hell out of me if they were above me...lol
Do you have a tutorial of ur stilts being made ?
How did you build the stilts? could you help me with a video?
psl
I have a question for you. How much foam did you end up using? I'm looking at a few suppliers now, and I don't want to order too much or too little.
re question: they are fore-arm crutches. I ordered them online. Make sure you know whether the company sells them single or in a pair for the price; my first go-round I thought I had ordered two pair and only received two single crutches.
This is pretty cool! I like it. Also do you know what those costumes that make you look taller than you really are, are called?
It walks on 4 legs so it’s a quad suit
When you said you used crutches, did you mean crutches like the type of ones that you would get from a hospital if you broke your leg or something?
What's the name of this song? It's mesmerizing.
I think it is in the description
How high are your stilts
hey, could you please make a tutorial on how to make one of those? that would have been awesome :-0
Can you run in this costume? Or even do more than walk?
what do you do if you have a really bad itch?o.O
I AM GOING TO MAKE A GIRAFFE!!!!!! THIS IS SO HELPFUL! Sorry about caps just really excited!
Is that a man or a woman? The person has no breastesses but the person has a feminine voice.
