Love the content, I actually have my dealers license super small lot in southern california. I want to grow my fleet and also take advantage of the turo market getting cars wholesale ,but i cant get the financing for my fleet because of the age of my dealership frustrating

Your right I just added another car to the platform and I noticed that they are still in complete control. I’ve had reservations canceled because I called turo support and asked them to substitute one car for another for my guest and then they start the conversation off like so what reservations would you like me to cancel.
It’s not smart to be strictly on turo.
Just like many people drive with uber they also drive for Lyft and other taxi platforms.
Or doordash Uber eats or grub hub.

To build lines of credit, is it the same as building any business line of credit? Like having net 30s with companies like Quill, Uline, etc. Also, I was looking up books specifically for building a car rental business and there are none

@@CC-te4jz yep, created a company. I bought the cars under my business but I am the personal guarantor. So maybe the on time cars payments will build my business credit. I’ve done zero business credit building prior to buying the cars.

Have two locators on the car.
Show the renter where one locator is in the trunk.
Don't show them the one powered by the battery and tucked away.
Makes for a great surprised Pikachu face when you find them and tow them if they go rogue and steal the car.

IDK how I missed this one Lucky. Good think I bought the course last night. ;) Do you think that there will still be a car supply issue in 2022 & 2023 as many are predicting? Especially given the fact that GM, FORD, and Mercedes have come out and publicly said they will keep inventory supply short and or go to order supply model in order to grow the MSRP's? I think that is short sighted on the Execs side. If the people said "Hell NO we won't buy 'em" they have to eat crow, so to speak. Well actually they won't, they will transition out and a new management team will come in. It seems even more important reason to go legit and do the licensed Rental Car business model.
I was kicked off turo for unknown reason before I even started. They said they don't have to disclose it to me. So screw them.

That makes sense, my only question would be what about advertising? Because Turo is popular and people know about it and they advertise for you. If we start our own rental company all together, how will people find us?

One more question…Is it required to get your rental license period to even rent cars to the general public for making money? And if so how come it isn’t required if you’re renting cars through Hyrecar/Turo?? It’s the same thing

I'm being a dealer for over 7 Years and own my lot. I would like to provide this service without franchise garbage fees. But I don't know how to start. I know everything about car industry. From car auctions to finance. But no clue in rental.

Turo is a terrible deal for the car owner! They carry all the risk without proper correlating upside. Don’t do it unless it’s a just a temporary stepping stone to a bigger strategy that doesn’t involve it.

How does one go about getting a rental car license?
Never ever rent your car out on Turo or other sites like it first your basically giving those apps free money. Second you're insurance can cancel you and insurance companies do talk to each other about people who have a lot of claims. Third every time I have rented a car I buy the extra insurance because regardless of what that car is its going to get driven like its a Ferrari = fast and hard and I know I'm not the only one who does that.
I've been in the gig economy since before it had a name.
Any company you contract with will eventually cut your income.
No matter how good you are, they will see you as an expense, instead of an asset.

Thanks so much for posting this. I'm a current host on Turo and people have been reaching out to me trying to rent my vehicles outside of Turo because of Turo's expensive fees. I've been stuck on how to go about that because of insurance and rental agreements. People have told me all I need is their insurance information, a rental agreement and a deposit from them and I'll be fine? Would you suggest I wait to rent outside of Turo until I get my rental car license?
Not true. you need a license if they crash your car and your not a business the insurance can deny you claim

Why go to the hassle of getting a rental car license you have to pay a franchise fee I think if you do the Toro Market you could do well if you don't try to overgrow yourself I have a lot of friends that are doing true and I'm doing it myself with a few cars just to supplement

There’s lots of different ones are use gold star GPS it’s called a starter disabler once they turn off the car the car will not start any more until you press the button from your end

If I set up my LLC now, what is a realistic time frame on building enough business credit in order to he able to purchase a vehicle through my entity without personal guarantee, & my understanding is that purchasing a vehicle in a business comes with higher interest rates & higher insurance costs potentially killing profit margins unless I'm already rich and can afford to buy 10-20 vehicles to start & make the profit on volume. Is this realistic for someone who can only afford to start with just one vehicle?

We are in Florida, and recently took delivery of 2 Polaris Slingshots. We have Personal Liability insurance via StateFarm and trying to rent on Turo, which is saturated and rental rates are low. We know someone with 4 Slingshots, and often is in need of more. He would like to broker ours, he has insurance coverage through MBA, when we reached out to MBA, they no longer provide coverage in Florida:(. If we got our Car Rental License, or if we decided to broker through him, can you shed some light on what insurance coverage we would need, and what companies provide that coverage?
That’s a long complicated question to answer. I would book a call But I don’t ever broker my cars out to people unless we are both licensed rental car companies.

@@TrapstarWock if you paid attention to the video, you would understand that I can tell you my company is called sunrise insurance, but they’re only in Nevada and only in several ZIP Codes every state every city every county has different laws and regulations and liability limits. That’s why it’s so hard to find a rental car insurance.

You can but you need more than 10cars
