He's unironically cool. His early Z look and techniques are so cool. People dunk on him way too hard. I hate that the series resorted to treating him like a joke. I'm glad the Super manga let him join the fight in the Moro arc.
He is still one of the strongest earthlings in dragon ball. Think about that. And despite being a pessimist about how strong he could get after Goku started training under kami, he still did, and without knowing it put up a good fight against kami, the strongest person we knew up to that point. The strongest god up to that point. For yamcha to have surprised him was a feat not many can claim, yet alone that he wasn't one tapped. It's not even pessimism anymore, he understands he's not ko'ing anyone Goku can't, so he only really gets to fight seriously if grunts arrive... Like during the moro saga where he beat 3 where a tired Goku and Vegeta struggled, god damn they were either actually that tired or yamcha has improved, meaning he flat out hasn't stopped training, and is just not doing it as hard as tien and krillen because he has a day job that doesn't require the skills.
Neo Wolf Fang Fist will always be a favorite super to me, yamcha's aura turns into the shape of a wolf, then after his combo the final hit is so focused that the Ki pierces Nappas stomach! the "Awoo!" is just icing on the cake. i dont know what it is, but when i was a kid watching OG dragonball the move just seemed so epic!
Wolf Fang Fist is honestly one of the more unique moves in Dragonball! More like a technique than just another blue blast. I think my favorite super right now is actually Bardock's just because of his split kicks and the angles, especially during the final blast. Also SSJ Bardock isn't a bad look on him :)

Basically, Yamcha started feinting a punch, and when the opponent tried a block he grabbed his wrist, following with a series of grab-and-pull motions with both hands that dragged the opponent off balance while keeping his guard down, and finishing with a punch to the face. Simple, unavoidable (can't block or dodge when your arm is held in place) and strong. Basically a good way to weaken your opponent - and potentially take him out quickly.

I still find it disappointing that you can't perform dramatic finishers when you end a fight with the special attack, Like Bills vs Goku or also in this case Yamcha vs Nappa
There's a fanfic that's still going called Yo! Son goku and friends, where yamcha is the goat, everyone else contributes too and no one is useless, it's more about martial arts and less so power levels, krillin is also the genius amongst the humans in the sense that he can learn any technique extremely fast, tien is extremely strong in ki-based attacks, chiaotzu is support, piccolo is the all around, gohan is the berserker, etc... the author based all characters in their fighterz versions and gave them the strength they have in the game
And if you can't do it it's all good. Not everyone has the time to invest in learning crazy combos like this and to keep practicing it so you land them consistently

Well, right now there are tools to help the other Z fighters go beyond their current limits, all Toriyama has to do is write them learning more stuff to keep up with the saiyans by utilizing skill rather than power.
Anyone know why the level 1 into level 3 doesn't cause double super scaling? I thought it activates if it detects a character return to a neutral stance where only then they can do another super or is Yamcha some kind of exception?
