    You are consciousness egobeing, mindbeing, bodybeing and worldbeing itself. Consciousness living itself as subject and objects..,

      This is not what Bhagavan teaches. You are consciousness, your real nature, which is only aware of itself, without any subject and objects. You might want to download the free sample of the book ‘Ramana Maharshi’s Forty Verses on What Is’ that’s available in the pinned comment, which has the introduction written by Michael James, where he explains the essence of Bhagavan’s teachings.

    God is our own Self without any adjuncts.
    Ego manifests as duality or seeming appearances of name & form concepts in waking and dream states by identifying with the gross and subtle body projected by it.

    Life seems so real that we don't even allow for the possibility that it might be just a dream. Any dream seems real until awakening. And in each and every dream we make the same mistake: we identify with the person and regard the rest as other(s). It always takes awakening to (be able to) realize our mistake: you are the whole dream, all of it. All dreams appear in consciousness, are experienced by consciousness and consist of nothing but consciousness, our essential nature. Consciousness is all there is so you've got to be consciousness. Look back on any dream and consider how ludicrous the idea of a separate person is. Or any duality.

      Consciousness is the manifestation in the relativity of the Absolute (Self) which is before consciousness.

      Consciousness is being consious of something, there is someone conscious of something. Awareness is empty. No one in it, but Awareness itself, being aware of Awareness 😊@@carlo_nd

    What is “other” if all is God? Aren’t external “objects” also God?

    • @GeertMeertens
      @GeertMeertens 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They only seem external before awakening. As in any dream.

      @@GeertMeertens So Ramana's instructions to turn away from the objects are for someone who doesn't know the external objects are only dreamlike? But what about for me, someone who does know it's all just God's dream? How can I turn away from the "objects" if I know that all is Self?

    • @bernhard1071
      @bernhard1071 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@pumpkini586 But you really don’t know that objects are dream-like, it is just a mental concept and useless. As long as one perceives a body and objects those seem real despite the conceptual knowledge of unreality.
      One *only* knows reality when one attends only to that what we truly are. And that takes many lifetimes of atma-vichara.

    • @pumpkini586
      @pumpkini586 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bernhard1071 I wouldn’t say it’s conceptual because the knowledge came from a near death experience where “I” died, the world disappeared and all there was was God and it was known then that the world was dream-like.

    • @bernhard1071
      @bernhard1071 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@pumpkini586 However every experience like that what you have described is not real and therefore also only conceptual knowledge. You, as ego, are reporting a memory or thought - that is not reality.
      Anyway, with true knowledge you would not perceive any world, NOW, and would not report any “happenings”, that’s all ego’s handiwork.
      Bhagavan stated that all experiences are not real and should be discarded, they are useless and only usually inflate ego which with pride reports of this “miraculous” event.
      Who experienced seemingly death (and came back to life 😁)? Only ego.
