Riu Palace Breakfast Buffet Food (Costa Mujeres Cancun)

See what the breakfast buffet was at a Riu Palace resort at Costa Mujeres, Cancun Mexico. We were quite impressed with the selection and quality of the food which included smoked salmon, caviar, duck liver pate, and a myriad of juices, smoothies, fruits (including berries), egg dishes and cheeses. Riu even had gluten-free items at the buffet as well. It compared really well if not exceeding the best breakfast cruise ship breakfast buffets we have tried.
This particular restaurant is named Spaces, and opens from 7 AM to 10:30 AM. You have to wear a mask and sanitize your hands before entering. It can get very busy during the "rush-hour" times of between 9 and 10 AM.

Hi TravelTouristFamily, what are your feelings on the "supposed" crew serving buffets on cruises? It seems these last two videos of your shows self serve buffets. We miss the salad bars here in Connecticut but we're hoping the will return before our November Celebrity cruise. Hi again from Bob and Jill in Connecticut

Hi Bob & Jill! I think the crew serving guests is fine- we've experienced it several times already on Holland America. We found that it helps to ask for extra spoonfuls of whatever looks good so you wouldn't have to go back as often. Recently we were also at a different Cancun resort where the staff served food, and they didn't speak English well, but we still always got what we wanted.
