  • Come Sail with the Philly Captain as he walks around the Quaker bridge mall outside of Princeton New Jersey. During the last mall walk video someone in the comments said the QB mall is dying. The Captain will confirm or deny the allegations.

At that GameStop when I was about 13 years old I wanted to buy Metal Gear Solid for PlayStation, but the manager of the store told me I needed a parent with me to purchase. I went and found the only guy around who definitely didn't pass as my dad. The manager got such a good laugh out of the large black man yelling "why you ain't sell my son this game!?" that he sold it to my lanky white ass. Good memories there.

Thanks for the tour. I worked to KB Toys for a few years in the early 80s, it was in the space were the Body works is currently located. I remember we had a power failure after a severe summer storm. I got bitched at for leaving the front gate open a few feet because I did not want to sleep at the mall. Anyway thanks from Colorado!

YO CAP, YOU MUST DO NESHAMINY MALL PLEASE.. I use to go to that mall at least 2 times a week just to stroll for chicks, and shoplift in Spencer's 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was my favorite because it didn't have any hoodrats or Jerkoffs, it was basically out of the city so the people who went there were for the most part decent folks, I use to rate the malls according to categories..
Food, Chicks, ability to steal from spencers..
    For this mall
    Food 3
    Chicks 9
    Steal Spencer's 10
Can you please do this mall next.

I really enjoy the mall videos. 😎. It’s funny Aeropostale can still survive in any mall still. They’ve been around forever lol.

I was the one who suggested QB Mall. As 'busy' as it was on the day you visited, it's that way on weekends. Hell, on Christmas Eve there were very few people as compared to "olden times." Sure, there's an Apple Store, but it's never busy... even on Christmas Eve. Lord & Taylor's closed years ago but it didn't effect the economy of the mall at the time. Sears had a bigger impact. Go across Rt 1 and the strip malls are 100x busier at any given time. I've heard that Simon has worked out deals with the likes of Apple and Macy's to lower rent to keep them that much longer. I mean, it's no Moorestown, but it is faltering.

That was a Lord and Taylors once upon a time. I remember when they built QBM back in the mid 70’s. Sears moved from Downtown Trenton to the Mall. Rt. 1 use to be a two lane road. One lane north bound and one lane south bound. My Mom and Stepdad use to take me up Rt. 1 to Plainsboro to Bordens Farm to see Elsie the cow and watch them milk the cows. I grew up in Trenton.

My folks are from the Hamilton area so i've been to QB Mall a few times. Preferred my old Monmouth Mall but QB has stood the test of time.
Best two things about that mall though-- the adjacent DMV is easily the most efficient and well ran in New Jersey (I used to drive all the way down there from Hoboken just for the convenience) and that Hamilton/Princeton area is freaking BEAUTIFUL to drive around.

The Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem is as dead a mall as you can get. Just a Barnes and Nobles and Boscov's are the anchors and not much else open in between. A pizza place and Asian eatery greet you at the main entrance. Oxford Valley Mall is a little better with a small food court

I lived in Lvl, Hamilton and now Bordentown. Monmouth is a helluva hike for a mall even back in the day.

It was a Monday mid-afternoon and there were still a decent amount of people walking around. Most people are going to be in the actual stores, anyway.

@6:20 Sick days are mandatory for any part or full time employment in NJ, We just talked about this at a trustee meeting last night when we put some volunteers under part time payroll for our baptist church. I think the law started 2018
