By the way, things like Bone meal and Spider eggs are alchemy incredents. You can eat them to find out some of their properties, and experiment with them later to find out the rest. The more you use a skill, the better you get at it. Early on, you should sneak everywhere you go, so you get skill ups whenever you encounter any hostile creature.
