  • Heavy rains and strong winds are lashing parts of the Western Cape as one of a series of cold fronts has made landfall.
Disaster management officials say electrical infrastructure has been damaged in several areas, causing blackouts.
These include Belhar, Rawsonville and Citrusdal.
The Franschoek Pass has been closed, while the Huguenot Tunnel has been closed to heavy traffic.

If people stop throwing garbage in the roads. Or stuff things in the drains. It would help with the blocking of the drains

@@alphahavadi4711 they complained about the drains. I watch every year how the council clean the drains. And people living on the street shuffing things in the drains.that blocks it. And I watch how people just throw things in the street. I actually care about the sea. So yes. This annoy me year after year. And then people complain about the council not cleaning the drains.

@@stumza369 people are literally voting for their own suffering because its so hard to face that the easy socialist story (imperialists are robbers, we will take back and GIVE to you) actually ends in worse poverty. Unemployment in the 1980s was 9%. It is now the highest in the world. That is the painful truth, clouded in this country by race but it actually happens in every single country Comrades govern, from USSR to Mao’s China to Venezuela to Cuba etc. The E Cape port cities are waiting to be invested in, the railways repaired. The people have to face the reality of WHY they move to Cape Town and choose capitalist leaders whatever the history. You can have a functioning economy- or you can have Comrades. You can’t have both.

Maybe inside parliament so they can deal with the problems they cause.
But moving them in to rich areas will only worsen crime and then after winter they want to stay and we need to waste tax money to remove people who should have never been there.

@@Daisy27224Nothing wrong with what the guy said, he's right. The crime statistics speak for themselves. There's an endless history of smash n grabs, robberies, hijacking, murders etc that happen around those illegal settlements or are where the culprits of said crimes come from. The working class struggles just as much, we can't just accommodate for some at the detriment of others.
