The "lab monster" factor of this game is unreal. The players have elevated this game so far beyond what the developers could have imagined.
Some of the best FGC moments are when people pull out new tech in tournament. I feel that modern fighting games lack the tech factor, you almost always know whats coming.
@@Shiftaws The internet makes the discovery process so much shorter. I think that the way DLC characters release one at a time also speeds up discovery, as all attention focuses on them for a month after release.
With something like Marvel 2, where the God tiers were so dominant, neglected characters got to hold on to their cards longer in the form of weird beneficial glitches and whatnot.
@@Shiftaws it's because information can spread much better now, it's a gift and a curse.
It makes games more accessible which helps to keep a constant flow of new players meaning tournaments and new faces should be better however it also means no one can keep secrets or tech to a small group so everyone will know everything, unless you literally don't tell anyone, though replays may also make this harder
@@YouGuessIGuess the internet is definitely the biggest factor, most games seem to have no bugs or glitches (but im sure the internet is the cause of that) and i say that because some games are pretty jank

I spent so many countless hours in highschool playing this game. I never even reached a fraction of skill JW has and I never will . Regardless I still love the game and have fond memories of the game

I was just thinking of this series the other day. Almost two years ago my family moved out of our old house & stayed at a small apartment for a few months before going to our new place. And during that time I remember binging this series & some of your other videos that I was behind on, it definitely helped make that time period much more bearable.
The tech (and muscle memory) these players keep in their head is crazy.
It's a video game u never forget once u touch the sticks it all comes back😮

I prefer MSH myself. MvC2 is pretty good, but it's based off the bastardizations that XSF introduced.
I always really like seeing you play mvc2 because it seems like you genuinely enjoy the game so much. We don’t need new DLC or fancy skins to keep loving the game.

It takes glitches for Hulk and Juggs to unlock lore accurate damage, but hey, at least they can get it somehow.

I used to play wolverine when I was a kid I never thought he was weak. I remember being a kid and because I played Wolverine And storm The son of the guy that owned the arcade asked my dad to help me Learn how to play.I'll never forget that.
He taught me how to fly around with storm and satinal and all kinds of tricks I just remembered the only reason he wanted to teach me was because I really only played X-men and he loves the x-men he was probably 17 - 20 years old I was 10 or 11 I think about him a lot he is a big reason I love fighting games
