Gorgeous island, and it even has ferry service! And history out the whazoo, as is typical of almost every square inch of Scotland... 😄 Lovely video, glad you got there with the kiddos! Cheers from here in Summerville, South Carolina, where I wish I had a reason for a jacket and not a ice bucket dumped over my head... 🔥🌞😎🌴
Love this. I'm an American but I'm obsessed with Robert the Bruce for some weird reason. My little one was scared to go to bed one night, so I told him the story about Robert, and told him to ask the king to come protect him. The next morning he hugged me and said, "Thanks for telling me about King Robert. He made me not scared last night."😄
Thank you Robert for the wee tour👍 I've never been but I can see now why folks love it 🥰 A lesson I was taught at school, Robert The Bruce famous story 😃 "🕸️🕷️If at first you don't succeed, then try try again" Have a wonderful day Robert and family ❤
My great grandmother, a Texas farm wife and suffragette still bemoaned the loss of of Bonnie Prince Charlie. One if the guest stories I was told be my mother was of Robert the Bruce, the cave and the spider. My mother loved spiders, lol.
Mary Queen of Scots stayed here, George Washington slept there...Those two got around! Enjoy your holiday! Wish I was there to cool off... 🔥 🥵 Hot in the US.
Haha. I had to get back on the boat. From memory it was built in the 12th century for the local laird, then upgraded in the 15th century, to what you can see today. 🙂
Caves and Robert the Bruce's use of them, sound a bit like the many Oak trees in England that Charles the second apparently hid out in; I suppose if it works has once, you'll keep on doing it?!
I think there is always a wee strand of truth behind a tale. Why bother just making it up? A bit of a waste of energy and effort for a fib that has been noted for so long. “Legends are lessons, they ring with truths!”-Brave (2012). Another adage would be (no smoke is without fire as no fire is without smoke - 13th century french proverb) I hope all of the fabulous tales of history are true, if not, where is the colour? Lovely looking holiday destination, I hope you all have an incredible time. 🍸
@@scotlandunpluggedWell then how are you doing and keep making Videos of Scotland, I like watching it’s History plus you tell it so well ? Robert ! Or do you like Bob ! 👍😎🏴/🇺🇸 !
"A big red button I shouldn't touch!" That sounds familiar. Is there a Doctor in the house?😂 Great video as always. Wish I could see those caves.
Thank you Robert fir sharing. All of the caves look like they are begging you to visit inside, if you dare. Take care and stay safe till next time. ❤

4 hour drive? That's an afternoon cruise to see a concert and have dinner here in Wyoming!😂😂
We definitely have a different attitude to distance over here. :-) I love a four hour drive on twisty roads. My car-sick wife and kids aren't so keen.
Wait, wait!! Don't go!! What about the castle in one of those last shots? What's its history?

I think there have been a few Wallace oaks too 😆
