I have made many of these bears. I find it much easier and faster to iron my interfacing directly to the fabric then pin on my pattern pieces, cut out and mark.
I lost my sister during the pandemic to brain cancer. Kathleen was a second mother to my children. It took a while for me to attempt this project. Thank you for your help. I made bears out of my sister’s sweatshirts she gave me.

Great video! What type of interfacing did you use? Woven, non-woven, does it matter for pattern sewing?

It was just stuffed with polyester filling, this bear was made in a canvas type weight fabric so I think it looks so solid because of that xx

What interfacing is best for making bears from clothes
I tend to use a medium weight interfacing as i find it easier to sew when the pieces are stiffer but some people prefer a light weight. xx
