This was frightening to watch what has become of Holland. Tramlines on very narrow streets and far too many ugly skyscrapers. Where did you hide Scheveningen? I couldn't recognize any of it.
Narrow streets are indeed a problem on line 12, one of the busiest routes. With very narrow streets, the line found its origin in the 1900's. When streets didn't have to be that wide, even for trams. (Tip: search for "Haags Gemeentearchief" and type in: "Regentesselaan")
Not particularly. Grass is aesthetically more pleasing and more environmentally friendly. For example; it helps to prevent flooding after heavy rainfall and doesn't attract as much heat as asphalt does which makes the city cooler.

Other indicators: lot of parked cars along the roads, and the lighting is evenig light as we know it just a couple of hours before sunset. edit: reply from HTM5000: dat moet ongeveer rond de klok van 20:30 uur geweest zijn. So it was 20:40 at Houtrust!
Gaat automatisch via sensoren of de binnendienst doet ze open of dicht. Alleen de deuren die bij 1:03 te zien zijn, moet handmatig open en dicht gedaan worden.

It was probably done to get the maximum amount of parking space in a small area as they also have the platform in the middle.
