    I just found this blower on sale and order it hopefully I won’t regret it but it should be better than my little electric one it’s the end of February so probably done with snow on Long Island. That snow looks pretty deep and heavy I think the machine did a decent job.

      I hope you have good luck with your. I saw many videos of happy owners before I bought mine. Yes, the snow was moderately deep and heavy, but I was only taking half swipes. It DID do a decent job, but once it died, that was it.

      Oh so it did died on you sorry to hear that I’m always on a budget so when I saw it for $298 dollars with free shipping I went for it let’s see what happens.

    I'm wondering if the choke was still on. It sounds like the rpm's are low. But from what I've seen in your video so far you are doing things right. In deep wet snow like that just take it slow and steady. The wet snow takes a lot more time than the dry powder. But that snowblower still beats a shovel, trust me on that lol.

    • @azzir325
      @azzir325  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The choke seemed to be working the way it should. I tested it for function while the machine was still running.

    Wet heavy snow is the worst to deal with. One needs to go as slow as possible on the first pass and after than take two thirds or half a bucket instead of a whole bucket. Smaller snow blowers are not as robust as the heavy-duty ones with 14-inch impeller and auger systems. Sometimes one needs to shut down the machine and unclog the wet snow out of the shoot. Last year here in southeastern MI we got 8 inches of the some of the wettest snow I have ever had to deal with. Second season with my Toro Power Max HD 1232. This was the test I was waiting for. After an hour of blowing that slop, I was overly impressed with the performance of this machine. At no time did the machine even hit of clogging and throwing distance was well over 50'. I have never seen snow pack on the rubber wheels like that snow, it was the worst snow ever! After a half revolution of the tires the snow would fall off but what a mess that snow was to deal with. Lets see what this winter brings. One thing about using snow blowers, the more time using them, the better you get at getting the most out of them.

    Sounds like you have an engine issue. Carb adjustment isn't right, choke is on or something.

    I just ordered a similar one, $399.Walmart. Just arrived today, undamaged and complete, It's unboxed and assembled. Not started yet, Didn't even notice if it has a throttle. The last few winters my 22" single stage blowers have been adequate, On level pavement the auger kinda helps pull them along. But I got 100 ft of uphill driveway and at 80 years old it's too hard to push the little blowers up the hill. Hopefully this new one will be up to the task. Might be this user was pushing the light machine too hard for the deep heavy snow.
    I have a couple old heavier snow blowers that could still be repaired and put back in service. but they tend to be big and awkward if the snow not deep.

    • @azzir325
      @azzir325  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No, this user was not. And after I took the machine to a repairman, he identified a system problem that basically made the machine worthless. Which Amazon probably knew when or shortly after they started selling them.

    sounds like the choke was open when you were running it when you start it let it warm up with the coke open as it warms up close the choke this will make it run better made the same mistake with my first snowblower

  • @Successautodetailing

    First cut in deep snow is always a challenge. Run it full rpm always, run it in a low gear on the first cut. I put 2 nickles under my scraper bar and adjust the feet to that height. You aren’t going to be able to eat the entire width every pass do like 1/2 to 3/4 of the blower. I had issues with the single stage blower I made a video of. Their 2 stage blowers seem to be made decent. I got the biggest gas model they make, it seems like you are a bit undersized for the amount of snow you have.

    • @azzir325
      @azzir325  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, no throttle adjustment on this model and the feet were adjusted higher than that. Made no difference if I was taking full bite or 1/8th bite. 24 inch blower, 212 cc motor is no small machine. Plus it died while sitting idle.

    If the carb has an air filter take it out. My neighbors blower had a filter and stored it out side it would clog up with snow a starve the blower of air lower the rpm and power similar to what yours was doing. Once we looked at it and removed the filter it ran like a champ. Also a little water in the gas especially if you store it out side could make it run like that. Might have knocked some snow in the tank if it was covered in snow while checking/filling the tank

      @@PatrickFaricy air filters are to protect the carb from getting particles inside that would destroy your engine. in cold weather theres no dust or particles in the air because the air is damp so that is most likely why cold weathered equipment like snowblowers can bypass an air filter. smow flakes getting in your carb intake isnt going to hurt the engine like dry gust of saw shaving or small particles being stirred in the air would if they got in the carb intake

    Final disposition: So I took the machine to a trusted mechanic and the verdict was internal problems that would cost more to fix than the machine was worth. I kind of figured that when Amazon gave me a full refund, virtually no questions asked and they didn't want the machine back. I gave the carcass to my friend for parts. The end.

      @azzir325 If the machine was new did you run the break in oil for a little and change it to fresh oil?
      Could also be a carb issue

    • @azzir325
      @azzir325  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. I did not change the oil. Total run time before quitting time was about 40 minutes. Been cold and I have no indoor place to work on it but I did check spark (yes) and put some fuel directly into the cylinder but it refused to fire.

    • @jasons8419
      @jasons8419 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @azzir325 still leaning towards the carb being the culprit but could be a kinked line or a vapor lock issue where your not getting the proper air to fuel ratio.
      Worn oil does make a difference but with the stalling it could be an issue.
      If possible can you dump the fuel and use some tru-fuel in the blower to see if it would make a difference. It has a strong cleaner in it and ethanol free bit does take a little time to work it's way through.
